dutch 0 Posted December 14, 2005 My C is pretty much gone...so thoughts move on to my next ride. But there are some guidelines I need to follow. The car has to be LHD and either a 90 or 91 ( so I can import it back to Canada) The 2 cars I'm considering are the E34 M5 or a 90/1 Audi S2.... Would do you guys think????? Kevin Bacon 5 Posted December 14, 2005 E34 M5 out of the two listed for me..... much better chassis than the Audi 80 based S2.

catch_twotwo 0 Posted December 14, 2005 A LHD 1990 Rado surely... Think there was one on eBay ;)
dutch 0 Posted December 14, 2005 this Audi S2 is really interesting me....mainly cause it's all wheel drive which would be great for a canadian climate...and they weren't available in canada...which would make me the only kid on the block with one!!!! 8)
dutch 0 Posted December 14, 2005 catch.....i'm really looking for something that can't be bought or really rare in canada...i.e ..S2 or M5

Lippy 0 Posted December 14, 2005 TBH s2 for me mate!
dutch 0 Posted December 14, 2005 the S2 is looking more and more promising.....
rmn 0 Posted December 14, 2005 difficult call, the s2 feels lighter but the m5 is a more powerful car, how about an rs2, or is that too new?
dutch 0 Posted December 14, 2005 yeah...rs2 is too new to be imported into canada..

catch_twotwo 0 Posted December 14, 2005 until you need a spare part! ;) OMG... how dare you bring reality into this  I'm sure you can ship parts in. Although it'll add to the expense.... especially with a 15 year old car.
dutch 0 Posted December 14, 2005 i've been doing some research and the S2 parts shouldn't be too hard to come by....alot guys in the U.S have converted their Audi Coupes to S2's....and plus....the web makes getting parts a breeze nowadays
h100vw 0 Posted December 14, 2005 You need to get yourself onto mobile.de and nip over to Germany with a load of Euros. You can buy something there and get a months insurance with your 'export' plates. Stick it in lock up till you go home. Gavin

H8RRA 0 Posted December 14, 2005 s2 COUPE all the way for me . get off the fence and get one bought. not into old beemers - the s2 coupe is - smarter - rarer? (irrelevent if neither were in canada i s'pose) - more practical (hatch) - more modern looking of the 2 - did i say far better looking - oh! and its prettier ;) - and through squinty eyes, sort of looks like a fat corrado :) I'm sure you know what they look like but......... (I've almost talked myself into looking for one now!!!!!!!!!) Chilly, this is what you want :) - get a 2litre coupe - cheap insurance?
dutch 0 Posted December 14, 2005 mmmmmm....i'm liking!! http://www.amcarsquattro.co.uk/ go to "stocklist" scroll down to the red one....i think he wants way too much for it but it looks sooo sweet!! in the autotrader he's got it listed for £4900! NickVR6 0 Posted December 14, 2005 M5 sounds lovely, take it we are talking 3.8 model? Bit scarey in the wet or ice though just slightly! I drove an S2 the other day, very quick and still sounds nice. Just dull lifeless non communicative steering. Over powered for mums parking in waitrose me thinks! Fun in a straight line though and yes, obviously great in your bad weather season. Both have mega parts prices, but both are very strong...........
