coolrado 0 Posted March 12, 2006 if you allready have the Quik Detailer and Quick Clay you might as well just use stage 2 and 3 as the paint will be clean allready. stage 3 gives a superb finnish and it smells good too  and a friend of mine has used it on a black car and the results where brilliant. Furkz 0 Posted March 12, 2006 washed with meguiars NXT shampoo then STEP 3 easy as that mate,,, used some G10 in places where the paint had been oxidised and then used Step 3 over that,,, u can use scratch x instead of G10

Trig 0 Posted March 13, 2006 Dunno about anyone else but after seeing Furk'z UD pics i'm fully taking his advice! Shopping List... Meguiars NXT shampoo Meguiars Step 3 ;) ..and it's cheap.
RW1 0 Posted March 13, 2006 STEP 1 - Deep Crystal Paint Cleaner STEP 2 - Deep Crystal Polish STEP 3 - Deep Crystal Carnauba Wax Worth doing all three if the paint hasn't been treated that way. It's a "system". Then use the step3 & shampoo to maintain it. .
ardandy 0 Posted March 13, 2006 Or the Mist & Wipe?? I use that for in between waxes and it works a treat! Cue Mr Furkz response=

Storm77 0 Posted March 15, 2006 Right all this talk bout cleaning cars, I'm itching to get out there and spend some hours on mine. From reading this and the thread about removing swirls it seems I should do: 1. Meguiars NXT shampoo 2. Poorboys SSR2.5 (for removing swirls and hair line scratches) 3. Meguiars Step 3 - for a Furk'z style finish! Sound about right?
ZippyVR6 0 Posted March 15, 2006 Gotta say. I used claybar and then step 3 last year and was impressed. But last week I bought some deep gloss polish from Autoglym, ( the one with the black writing) and I was amazed how well she came up. Slapped a coat of stage 3 wax ontop and it is as close to perfect as its going to get this side of a respray.
double-6s 0 Posted March 15, 2006 sod spending half a day on it! not me. why bother when an hour and a half and its perfect........enough for me! :) i never bother with detailing etc etc. whatever that is ;) anyone who spends 1/2 to 4 days on polishing the car is in need of psychiatric help :) or a bird?? ardandy 0 Posted March 15, 2006 Got a fiance mate, spending that much time on the car is more of a refuge than having nothing else to do! :)
