Passed MOT yesterday, funny advisory!..

I dropped my car with my mechanic mate to get the MOT sorted yesterday, they use another local garage for testing. It passed, which i was well impressed about, but the tester advised my mate that the engine sounds a bit strange, almost like theres a split vaccum pipe... :shock:

 

When my mate said you realise its supercharged dont you they guy went 'oh really?' he said didnt you open the bonnet and wonder what that lump of metal was? the guy said 'i didnt even notice, people do all sorts of things to tune VW's dont they.' my mate tried explaining that it was built that way, but it fell on deaf ears. :roll:

 

I wont be going there for a charger service then.. :lol:

yeah it has been done, he didnt even notice that there was a hose dangling in the bay!

mot dickheads are fully like that, he thought my manifold was blown when i had mine done.... but to top things off mine didnt even say anything abt the german plates that was the best part of my week tbh

Don't even start on the subject of dealers! i said i'd like some spark plugs for my VR6 and the guy ordered 4!

Surely a bloke doing an MOT doesn't give a flying fek what a supercharger is?

 

He's just doing a job and unless he's a dub fan then why would he know/care? :)

Supercharged, Nope, seems okay now, bit of chalk did the job!

bigbluec thats classic!.. almost as good as the guy where my mate works booking in an old beetle for a coolant change :lol:
