sciroccotune 0 Posted May 18, 2006 Hope you guys can help. 8) My dads car was resprayed (before he got it) and it is a really good job except they didnt take the hard top off to do it (so it would seam, maybe they didnt know how cos its not easy :lol: ). so when you remove the hard top there is a bit of over spray at the back that has got a bit dirty. It is in sight when you have the roof off or the soft top up etc. Would g10 buff it out a bit followed by some polish and wax? Im not looking for perfection on it just to make it a bit better for the odd day the hard top is off or the even more odd dry day it comes out of the garage. p.s the car is a metallic colour if it matters Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Chris VR6nos 0 Posted May 18, 2006 G3 then G10 as it's loads finer and will give a glassy finish but takes it town really slowly so be patient, Clay is meant to pick up the very small pieces of debris fron the micro holes in the paint, it's not meant to be a rubbing compound and not sure if it's the thing for this job! marcus 0 Posted May 18, 2006 Clay takes off all contaminents and roughage from the paint - basically anything that shouldnt be on there and hasnt eaten into the lacquer, inc overspray. elrikos 0 Posted May 18, 2006 products made by farecla. g10 is like t-cut on speed. g3 is even stronger. Its used for removing oxidised paint to show through a shiny finish. also for removing overspray and flatting down to give a totally smooth finish. its great stuff available from any good paint factors.
