Stone0311 0 Posted May 22, 2006 My bra arrived form the U.S this morn, quick 20mins to fit and was on. Few minor issues, nothin too serious > Side repeater holes > Designed for the 50mm chin spoiler > No. plate hole is U.S size Other than that its a good fit, should look after the paint well. g60greeny 0 Posted May 22, 2006 But... its gona look after my fresh paint when im steamin down the motorway :) make sure its fastened down proper ya don't want it flappin about, also u may get bits of grit down behind it that mixed with water may scratch the paint work or wear the paint down(i'm still thinkin of gettin a bonnet bra mind) :D
Stone0311 0 Posted May 22, 2006 was your £50 all in including the bonnet part? if so much better value! Yeah all in. Seems stupid that it is cheaper to get the whole lot shipped from the U.S than buy just the bonnet part here. but driving around like that- not for me mate Dont make me hate it even more guys, its only gona be on for long hauls >> Every meet in the SW is usually at least an hr on the motorway  make sure its fastened down proper ya don't want it flappin about Yeah was thinkin that. im hopin it wont be an issue - practically had to use KY to get it on
g60greeny 0 Posted May 22, 2006 @ the end of the day m8 its your rado an your cash do what u want :) how easy does ya bonnet close now?i remember when we did g60griffs it was a tight fit also one of the press studs that fasten under the arch caught one of his tyres an popped off(the press stud that is)
Stone0311 0 Posted May 22, 2006 Bonnet seems to close fine, no issues as yet. Quite clever, there are no press studs or anythin > got these flat plastic tabs that slide in the gap between the edge of the arch and the inner arch
JMC 0 Posted May 22, 2006 gimp suit!! Glad someone else thought that - that was the first thing that crossed my mind...
g60griff 0 Posted May 22, 2006 yeah i had take the bumper bit off on mine because the car was too low and caught on the fastenings in the arch. i kept the bonnet bit on and i havent had any issues with it scraping or anything. like greeny says the only problem was it was a tight fit under the bonnet, i had to adjust it because it wouldnt release the bonnet. i have just took mine off for a bit, see how it looks.
