corozin 0 Posted September 23, 2003 I was actually looking to buy an Impreza when I tried the Corrado out for a test drive, so if the Corrado didn't exist then I would get an Impreza I think (N-plate shape, no big wings) However I notice that R32 Skylines are now a lot cheaper than they were 4 years ago, and in all honesty that is my "affordable" dream car. If the lottery comes up however I will turn up at my next meet in an AMG SL55
JoeNose 0 Posted September 23, 2003 Something rare, not horendously expensive, and of course the performance to 'talk the talk.' I think Vmax has it with the Integra Type R...
G60 0 Posted September 23, 2003 Escort Cosworth..but they didn't ship them here. We did however, get the Merkur XR4Ti (ford's 'euro' branding..) which was also made at, you guessed it Karmann coachworks. RWD 2.3L Turbo lots of fun. The body (other than the bumpers, trim, grill, spoilers) is identical to the cozzie, except the back glass is split on the XR. i bought an XR a few years ago.. still plan to do it up as a cozzie some day!! you'll NEVER see cozzie over here. if i were to buy a car that would be somewhat practical, have a warrantee, reasonable sticker price (or i'd say porsche) and not require me to be under the hood every second day i think i'd go for a the new 350z. what can i say, dead sexy. oh.. and don't forget the stillen supercharger

G60 0 Posted September 24, 2003 my buddy has an S13 240sx.. he wants to do the SR20DET swap but he'll never get enough cash together. his insurance cost keeps him down. can't even afford to lower it. not that its an overly expensive car.. our insurance costs are just nuts over here right now. matt buz 0 Posted September 25, 2003 Had a drive in my mates 1966 cherry red 289 v8 Ford Mustang convertible. Have to say that for the cash he paid (5k) there is no other car that grabs peoples attention like it. Bit scary on english roads though and I found myself doing some serious kerb hogging. But realistically I would love a Lancia Delta Integrale Evo 2. Which to me is sex on wheels..................in a way like a tarty girlfriend. Not necessaritly great to look at and not to everyones taste but everyone wants a go in her cos she goes like stink!!!! :D

Kevin Bacon 5 Posted September 27, 2003 When I was looking at vr6's I also considered the BMW e36 328i as it can be had for not much more than a C vr6, is similar in pace and I fancied a rwd, decided against it as I preffered the C in every way. Snap! I test drove a couple and almost bought a 328is in Boston Green but my girlfriend found a VR6 in a local rag which I bought instead  The 328 was too twitchy and definitley very tail happy, especially with the LSD. I looked into the whole servicing and ownership thing and thought better of it in the end! I've had a few BMWs over the years and they are superb cars but believe me, they have their fair share of common problems too. Kev
