can someone check what im saying makes sense?

ive picked up some A6 alloys, which are 16x7 et45 5x112.

 

so to make these fit i will need adapters.

 

they make 10mm or 20mm.

 

am i right in thinking the 10mm will not push the wheels far enough away from the strut and that the 20mm ones would be more suitable?

they wont fit mate, pcd on a vr corrado is 5 x 100

10mm will take them to et35, which is pretty much fine on a VR if you use 205 width tires.

there seems to be a serious lack of choice when it comes to 5x100 in anything smaller that a 17" though.

yeah, i'm going through the same dilemma at the mo, having seen a mk3 with the wheels that i'm going to use, i'm not so sure about the style now...
