double-6s 0 Posted July 3, 2006 Ok i've come to the decision to get rid of my vr. I really can't be a*sed with rebuilding the engine and sorting the other bits and pieces. So my question is this: Should I sell it with a fekked engine or break it? Its got loads of new bits on it: weitec coilies, water pump, thermostat, etc, etc. Black leather. Air-con. Black diamond discs. Bad bits: few small bits of rust - front arch, rear panel below no. plate, generally the paint is ok but is now covered in fine scratches from some sh*te carwash. (yeah yeah - I know). Got to be worth more to break it hasn't it? BTW, I'm no deserter - got my eye on a gorgeous vr ;)
Andy665 0 Posted July 3, 2006 It would be a shame to break a basically solid car
double-6s 0 Posted July 3, 2006 Yeah - I know what you're saying mate. Might just have to bite the bullet and sell it for fek all :(
Henny 0 Posted July 3, 2006 what's up with the engine that means it's that fecked?
Walesy 0 Posted July 3, 2006 You can get engines pretty cheaply can't you? Buy that lovely silver VR6 in the For Sale section, and sell yours on to someone as a project :)

This other one's a gorgeous colour too. Don't really want to give too much away. One thing - I'm sure its got a wolfsburg badge on the back
Guest Posted July 3, 2006 as said above, would be a shame to break a solid car. I'm sure you could sell and get a reasonable price as a project car for someone on here? gl with the new mystery machine 8)
andy 0 Posted July 3, 2006 Just bung another engine in, quick, simple and cheapest. Thats all anyone who buys it as a project will do. I made £3k in 3 weeks doing that last year.
Dec 1 Posted July 3, 2006 Why not get the engine sorted....sell the leather + coilies and nice bits that get silly money on Ebay, and then sell it as standard?
