Another question

This is a stupid question, but i have no idea what an mk1 mk5 mk.... is. What does it represent. I hear people say my mk5 gti is this but i have no idea what a mk what ever is lol I feel stupid

 

Please help

Mk means mark. Basically the same as version, i.e Mk1 Golf was early/mid 1980s, Mk2 Golf was mid 1980s to early 1990s. Mk5 Golf is the recent one , Mk6 will be out soon.

the same is used for pretty much all car makes, the term "phase" might be used in the us instead though.

For most VW's ...ye get Mk1, Mk2 Sciroccos + jetas + Polos etc etc :wink: :wink:

Now i can talk to people and be like the mk3 is blah blah and they wont have any idea what im talking about, thanks guys

its used for the majority of car manufacturers tbh, but as said above, revision etc can mean the same thing

sirely it's got t go mk1,mk2,mk4,mk3,mk5

the mk5 looks like a peugeot 307.......... just a bit too round..... but blistering performance....... imo :salute:
