BILLCOR 1 Posted July 29, 2014 They should look pretty damn good on the car. Look forward to seeing some pictures! Cheers Jim, just waiting on the tyres arriving from our friendly forum supplier, didn't want to order until the rims arrived.
BILLCOR 1 Posted August 16, 2014 (edited) Well it looks like the car is sold. Nice chap has paid a deposit without actually seeing the car in the flesh, sent him plenty pics and between that and his mate who i spoke to who has a specialist car company, they are both happy with what they have seen. I spoke with the buyer, he told me he had one of, if not the first VR6's in the country, a Blue 92 J reg, if he had waited 3 days, it would have been a K plate, he said he couldn't wait that long  I haven't even had a chance to fit the new rims as we have been away on holiday for the last 8 days :bonk: I may just stick one side on for a pic, see how they look on a Rado, but they are now gonna be up for sale as I have nothing else to fit them to and now have no intention of getting anything that they will fit. EDIT: Couldn't be bothered fitting the rims, just more hassle for nothing, took a few pics with the tyres now fitted and all ready to go Edited August 16, 2014 by BILLCOR

Dox 23 Posted September 30, 2015 It's up for sale again at another Garage. It is, but that ones not a happy buying experience for him so I can't see him buying it back at £10K? Lots of nice cars for sale at the moment, turbo / supercharged VRs etc

Dox 23 Posted September 30, 2015 Hopefully some pics of the Golf R, and about time to! I did wonder if yours was heading north again while you took care of a green VRT for a while?
mic_VR 3 Posted September 30, 2015 Haha! I was/am tempted to sell up and buy Nick's but I don't think Bill wants another C at the moment.

BILLCOR 1 Posted September 30, 2015 A few quick pics, Its Limestone Grey, upgraded alloys 19" Pretorias, Sat Nav, which is touch screen and just a pain for collecting finger marks

massbad69 10 Posted October 1, 2015 Lovely Golf in the best colour imo. I have a GTD mk7 lowered with 19s and they look great with the right wheels and colour :thumbleft:
Jim 2 Posted October 1, 2015 Nice wheel and colour combo - really like these Golf R's :) Kicking myself for not getting on the bandwagon when all the cheap lease deals were doing the rounds!
coullstar 0 Posted October 1, 2015 Just wait a few years and there will be plenty on sale at the end of the lease periods. Best colour for it IMO and great choice on the wheels. They look amazing and about 50million times better than the std wheels. 5dr as well, good man.
Jim 2 Posted October 1, 2015 Not so sure I would be in a hurry to pick up one of these ex-lease... My feeling is with them having been so cheap to acquire they will largely all have been abused. I am sure the engine is strong but would worry about what was waiting in the drive train once it was out of warranty!
BILLCOR 1 Posted October 1, 2015 Cheers guys :thumbleft: Not to many around in this colour and thats one of the reasons for choosing it, most are Blue, White or the non extra Red. The wheels do make a far better visual impact over the Halfords looking standards
Chuggs1 10 Posted October 1, 2015 Nice wheel and colour combo - really like these Golf R's :) Kicking myself for not getting on the bandwagon when all the cheap lease deals were doing the rounds! Jim there may be another chance - VW will need to fill their coffers with cash soon to pay all the fines so im sure there will be loads of deals!
