grathies 0 Posted September 5, 2006 Evening Fellow Dubbers! Decided to join up and see whats going on in the wonderful world of Raddo's! Little bit about me, Im 22 and from the Portsmouth/Southampton area. Been into Vws for 12years now thanks to my bigger brother who used to be a VW Mechanic, so I got a litle bit of knowledge! Started off with my first Golf when I was 15, Mk2 1.3 which was resprayed in Lupo Taft Green, 16v Interior, G60 Arches, Smoothed Tailgate, Big Bumpers, Jetta Front end and so on, running on Ronal Turbos and also 17" White WolfRace Voodoos. Now owned by some jumped up little p*ick who claims to have done all the work to it, which makes me sad! Then had a Vw Lupo running on Ronals again with full TV/PS2 and Twin Sub Setup, same colour as my golf, just for something different. Intended on modding it with a big TDi lump and arches but gave up as it wasnt what i wanted really. Then I went out and bought what for me is the ultimate incarnation of any golf ever, a Golf Rallye. Saw one when I was 10 and wanted one and when I was 20 I got my baby! It is in as original condition, full german service history, no tears, no rips, was on 58000miles but Ive put that upto just over 100k in the last two years as it was meant to be used! I was building a 16vTurbo Mk2 Golf which Ive had for about a year, but I found some serious rust and wanted something quicker so decided to break it for parts to get another bike as I missed my old Ninja too much... Then kinda spent my deposit on this G60 Raddo! Needs tidying but think I may just sell it on soon, was an absolute bargin but needs some work and bits! grathies 0 Posted September 7, 2006 Wow, to say Im underwhelmed by the response would be a starting statement :roll: Im feeling a full strip as the Raddo is too fat and heavy for my likeing, also got a full Detla bodykit lined up with LED Washer and Lexus Lights, Lambo Doors and maybe get it runnin on some chromes, with a leather and Burberry interior, and a louder dumpvalve than at present as its not quite offensive enough. Some of the above is false, some of it is thruth... WAKEY WAKEY RADDO PEOPLE, Its no wonder we as owners have a reputation for being stuck up our own arses, you lot seem to have no interest and compassion in your fellow mans car. I know building a chav wagon and gettin it in MaxPower would infuriate you all beyond belief, while also devaluing the "Prestigous" marque. The only thing worse would be me buidling a car that gets more attention than your car does :lol: Its like Editon-fucking-38! Don’t get a huge amount of white ones so suits me being different mrbeige, Cheers for the comments mate! Was gutting to give up on the 16vT but I still have the base engine so will get round to rebuilding one when I get a chance! Raddo ownerships been a bit strange so far, their a bit of a hashup of a VW parts wise! rmn, Thanks! I may have to sell the Rallye soon as its not really getting used, and I don’t like cars that just sit in the garage because their “Special”, like to see them getting used G60 VV, Come on Kenny, you know I have the drive in me to do it bud! You know me best outta anyone on here anyway, didn’t get off to a flying start on here but that’s my personality more than anything! Not gonna pretend to be someone Im not, always been an outspoken Chavvy wanker ;) kerrinmay, Im actually a Gosport lad, seen a few Raddos around here recently. I don’t tend to attend meets now as I have too much going on in my life! Didn’t even make it to the national Rallye meet gsbellew, recognize you from DF! Im sure Ill end up with a very individual Raddo in the end! If anyone really cares. I’ve top tinted the rear lights and fitted my BBS temporarily, meaning to get round to lowering it but just enjoying thrashing the arse off it Raddo ownerships not great atm, Driving home the other day and it suddenly stops as Im pulling away, Im on a hill so bump it on the starter in 1st just to get out of the road Got the car home then got round to having a check on what was up, my worst feat was confirmed.... Crank Bolt :( I have no idea how Im gonna get the rest of the thread out of the engine, and now Im faced with seeing what damage Ive done, if its affected the head etc :( Atleast it wasn’t my Rallye tho as this is my throw-away car if worst comes to worst!
