Mave 0 Posted October 12, 2006 While trying to fund out why my window stopped working I went on a search and found these things, 1st was found dangling above the fuse box. What is it and where does it plug into? Secondly I found this behind the mask on the left hand side of the driver position, what is it? An alarm system? or just a control box for something? :? Oh and thirdly, i think this is th fuse for the leccy windoze, if this was blown would both of them stop working? because my passenger side works but my driver side clicks
Mave 0 Posted October 12, 2006 For some reason number 6 has come out first, make that the last one, fuse.
CoxyLaad 0 Posted October 12, 2006 that fuse is not blown mav, and the other stuff appears to be an alarm of some description

billinjah 0 Posted October 12, 2006 if it just clicks the regulator is probably knackered you could take your door card off and connet the motor up to 12v and see if it goes up or down. if it does them maybe the window ecu behind the rear offside door card. Mave 0 Posted October 12, 2006 billinjah, when you say connect upto a 12v.... ..gotta learn somewhere lol and i think the other thing is an alarm system, it had 6 switches on it and they were all off. cant remember the name of the thing now. billinjah 0 Posted October 12, 2006 either get a car battery charger and just connect the terminals up to the plug on the window motor or run some wire from your battery to the same plug its at the front of the door and is a simple 2 pin plug you reverse the polarity to make the window go up or window go down just trial and error it mate you wont kill anything just dont leave it attached if the motor isnt moving.
