Looking for pics of 195/45's fitted to 9's here :D Neil. :)

Furkz 0 Posted November 6, 2006 Could someone kindly check out the clearance at the back of the rims? 9x16 et15? Neil. :D really depends on suspension mate. i ran my keskins at et15 fine with little clearence and the borbet A required another 5mm spacer @ et 15 and the BBS have a huge gap but they are running a silly low offset. this is based against the koni suspension although i think fk's may have more clearance for example! i think personally the 215/35/16 is the perfect tyre or if you need a cheaper option the 205/40/16 is there but doesnt look has good. 45 profile is gay regardless if its 195 or
Riley 0 Posted November 6, 2006 Cheers guys... :) Thing is,if i do go for 215/35 i want it to stay low without a major tyre/arch issue... Only thing i can think of is machining the wheel mating face even if its only a few mm i can get away with. So if im running konigsports, where is the least clearance gonna be? Suspension or rear beam? Cheers,Neil. :) mmmm,195/45's on an 8j rim at et27...and we are talking 215/35's on a 9j at et15 :?
Furkz 0 Posted November 6, 2006 195/40 on 8 215/35 on 9 --- i think this tyre will give you the most clearence or you can go 195/40 on a 9, but i wouldnt recommend that much stretching., plus not everyone can get that tyre on a wheel
Riley 0 Posted November 7, 2006 Ok guys... :D if i run 9x16 et15,with a 215/35. How low will i be able to stay? i dont want that 'my wheels are too wide for my car' kinda look, want them to look like a good snug fit just sat nicely in contour with the arches. Anyone any idea on clearance at the back with 9x16 et15? :D if i decide to machine them a bit on the back face? Neil.
