Crispy 0 Posted December 14, 2006 Deano_G60, You have a choice of whether to be naughty. By law, you should inform your insurance company of all claims, convictions, accidents or losses etc in the last 5 years. However, they mostly only keep info for 3 years, so after 3 they probably wont find out. Also, the finding out bit involves them sharing their info, which isn't as common as they'd have you believe. That means that your company insurance history is very unlikely to have been published. You should be able to find find out all info on anything you have been involved in at work, (if you do wish to tell them) as your boss or accountants should know where to get it. Please don't do it if you think it's a risk, but my company insurance history wasn't reported when I was last insured, and I didn't feel it was a risk. Also - some insurance companies will now treat company ins. as 'no claims', so if your claims were more than a year ago maybe its worth telling them anyway, for the discount. Finally - read this from my bro - http://www.the-corrado.net/.archive/forum/viewto ... ht=#256417
martinb 0 Posted December 14, 2006 Always disclose everything to be on the safe side. I dont deal with i t personally but i frequently hear people from our customer services dept calling people back who have not disclosed information. All the info you give is entered onto the motor insurers database used by the police and other insurers. If people do not disclose (its not checked out by us the broker but by our underwriters) often the underwriters will find out and get back to us to notify us that you have not disclosed information on a recorded call, sometimes they want extra money, sometimes they void the insurance and often they will then refuse to reinsure you as you didnt tell them in the first place! :( What year is the car? We insure a lot of the older models on Classic Policies..... 8) Martin :)

mattosmond 0 Posted December 14, 2006 exactly!!! it's just a shame that insurance companies like to rape young drivers!!!! there really should be some kind of investigation into their ridiculous prices....

It sucks but thats the way it goes unfortunatly...... :(

martinb 0 Posted December 16, 2006 Our classic policies allow mods (apart from NOS!!! ) usually not much difference in premium but depends on the mods. Has to be less than 7500miles per year. Martin :)
