Bojmobile 0 Posted December 21, 2006 Hey guys - heard stories about the late Corrados having ridiculous ride heights - ie 4x4 style. Just found this picture on autotrader - is this late standard ride height? Wheels obviously make it look worse:-
stel g60 0 Posted December 21, 2006 Is that a Touerag?
CazzaVR 0 Posted December 21, 2006 Yep- always looks worse, the bigger the wheels. My first VR (which was also an N) looked pretty similar to that- not quite that bad though!

Goldie 2 Posted December 22, 2006 Got to admit mine is a "little" on the high side. Its the first job on the list for 2007, hopefull sorted by Feb. Dont want to completely slam it though, just bring it down to earth a little...
dinkus 10 Posted December 22, 2006 I have a picture of the new standard suspension on my last VR kicking about on here somewhere... but yes, it is comical. I even got a call from the garage after they'd fitted it to ask if I'd bought the right parts
Jim 2 Posted December 22, 2006 Yep- always looks worse, the bigger the wheels. My first VR (which was also an N) looked pretty similar to that- not quite that bad though! Canyonaro!! :D :)

Jim Bowen 1 Posted December 24, 2006 they do look high, but next to other cars they still low, its just the gap from arch to wheel that looks a bit funny  i'll get mine lowered one day
Goldie 2 Posted December 24, 2006 i'll get mine lowered one day So will i, eventually!!!
A1 VR6 0 Posted December 24, 2006 60mm rear 45mm front on coilies and 16" wheels- slight rubbing on the front inner arch though- could maybe do with 40mm on the front.
speedtwelve 0 Posted December 26, 2006 Mine had new Konis and new standard VW springs fitted just before I bought it. It now looks like it's jacked-up on forest-stage suspension! I could almost get my head between the tyre and rear arch :( . Some subtle lowering is on the cards for the new year. Thankfully my Golf VR has been pre-dropped by a considerate previous owner.
