Lacquer Bubbles

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

On my old car i'm trying to sell (no not the A3 in the for sale bit) lacquer bubbles have developed on the bonnet, while it has been sitting on my drive.

Is there anything that can be done to remove, cover up or disguise it?

Many thanks......

so you can actually push them and feel a distance between the lacquer and the paint

in that case there is nothing that can be done to fix them quickly. I had a clear coat failure on my first red CRX. had the whole thing resprayed.

Sounds like microblistering, caused buy painting in a damp atmosphere, or water getting into the air supply. If it is, the affected paint needs to be removed and the panel re-painted.
