bcstudent 0 Posted February 4, 2007 Wow, that sounds incredible. It's a beautifully understated car considering its potential. Great work man, impressive figures for a daily driver.
CorradoVR6-Turbo 0 Posted February 4, 2007 Nive! how come its got the 12 valve engine in ? I thought the new shape Vw's had the 24 valve engine in?
Tifun 0 Posted February 4, 2007 I don't know how your guys MK4's work, I think you guys call them Bora's. Ours came with 12v up until 2001, then the GLI and GLX got the 24v from 2002 on up. Our 12v's are also drive-by-wire atleast they are for the MK4's. Our MK3's got cable throttle of course. It's got an HGP turbo kit. It is the only one in the U.S. on a 12v MK4. Tifun 0 Posted February 7, 2007 Thanks, I can't even think about all the money that went into it. The Corrado is next though Here are a few details about the Jetta. -Built bottom end- this car gets driven everyday -Euro recaros, might not be rare to you guys but mine is the only set I have ever seen on the states -stubby mirrors, real ones again very rare over here -molded front and rear lips on the bumpers -full GLI brush trim -HGP/HPA 440 turbo kit -BBS LM 18x8.5 -variant1 coilovers -nuespeed adjusable sways -you cant see it, but the hood has a custom reverse vent to pull heat off the engine, I'll post a pic below of it. -ecode headlamps and tail lamps -E46 ///M3 rear trunk spoiler cut and shaped to fit Seiously the list keeps going, it got a cover shot soon in DM magazine over here in the states....not sure what issue it is yet. intrior shot before the trim was replaced with the real GLI stuff The new custom built SMIC's to keep that sleeperish look You can see the underside of the hood vent or bonnet...whatever the hell you guys call it lol a shot before the SMIC's went on the car
