central locking issue

Recommended Posts

My central locking is working but very strangely.

When i use my key in the drivers door lock all the doors and boot lock and open as they should, but when i use my alarm remote the drivers door will not open or lock.

It is a brand new alarm and it is baffling me.

Can anyone throuw come light on this problem for me.

Thanks

Jamie

is there anything else that could be the problem? or does it have to be the alarm?

I took the door card off and it is definately moving the arm up that moves the door pin. it is very strange

The corrado does not have remote locking as standard desides when you use the key in the door, but the alarm is tapped into the key open shut system,so its very lickley the alarm which can only cotroll the remote central locking is at fault.

You had a standard alarm fitted?

Was your central locking working before that?

You now had the old alarm removed and another Alarm fitted?

The central locking worked for a short while now it doesn't?

Sounds like the new alarm mate.

well no, the central locking always worked off the key, but there were two sirens removed that were not working, fitted by previous owner.

i will take back to fitter and see if there is anything he can do.

hopefully he can haha
