Sonicriot13 0 Posted March 23, 2007 Hey Guys, I'm new around here so greetings to you all. Just want some advice really. In the next month or so I'm gonna be getting shot of my mk3 16v Golf GTI in favour of the corrado I've always wanted. Was wondering if there are any real advantages to the 2.0 16v over the 1.8. I know the 2.0 has more torque but power output seems to be around about the same. It's just that the 1.8 seems a bit easier to get hold of. The other thing is, if I get either of the valvers am I just gonna spend the whole time wishing I got a VR6 (which I can't really afford but I can dream)? Any help appreciated. Sonicriot13 0 Posted March 23, 2007 Have thought about the G60. Obviously wouldn't escape my attention but not seen any for sale in my area recently. Though they would be a better choice for me, at least then I wouldn't be going down in power from the golf.
CazzaVR 0 Posted March 23, 2007 Personally out of the valvers, I'd go with the 2.0. More torquey, later interior, bonnet, grille, wings, bumper, lights etc. Get a 1.8 KR cam too- will drop straight in, no mods needed. A good stepping stone to a VR. If you have the funds, however, get a VR!
Sonicriot13 0 Posted March 23, 2007 A VR would be lovely. My girlfriend would kill me though. Are Vr6s worth dying for?
