John-M 0 Posted April 26, 2007 No idea - but I'd talk to Vince at Stealth. Do you have Powerflex suspension bushes etc ?? I'm considering 'em and would appreciate some views.
_leon_ 0 Posted April 26, 2007 I've got them - they're a huge improvement if you have a heavy exhaust. go to motorsportworld.co.uk and theyll get the right ones for you.

Stan 24v 0 Posted April 26, 2007 £7.50 delivery is taking the pi55!!! Awesome do them for £4.20 + VAT = £4.94 and Im sure the postage would only be about £5-6 for all 4. http://www.awesome-gti.co.uk/powerflex/vw.htm
_leon_ 0 Posted April 26, 2007 motorsportworld sent all 4 on the same postage... doubt anyone would charge postage individually
VR6Will 0 Posted April 26, 2007 I've used the powerflex exhaust mounts before, and in my opinion utter rubbish! basically melted on vinces rolling road during mapping session, then replaced the melted ones, then after a day at santa pod they melted again! I now use the exhaust rubbers with chains in, cant remember who/where i got the from, but not had any problems since!

Supercharged 2 Posted April 26, 2007 Halfords stock them - probably dirt cheap if we can get our hands on a trade card!
Supercharged 2 Posted April 26, 2007 VR6Will, yeah heard about people melting them before but only on FI motors... hence I wouldn''t use on the G60 but I've had them on the TDI for ages and showing no wear at all and a mate has had some on a mk2 GTi for a few years now... Ford OE rubbers have chains in them - C&R sell them
_leon_ 0 Posted April 26, 2007 I dont take my g60 on the track or quarter mile - does get driven hard every now and again though - and not had any problems with them at all.

coolrado 0 Posted April 27, 2007 had a full set on mine with the standard exhaust with a cat bypass and they lasted two weeks, they all stretched and snapped after doing a 200 mile trip, someone suggested my timing could have been out a bit but i had it checked and it was spot on. starting to think it could be the cat bypass is allowing the exhaust to get hotter than normal? i think i am going to change the exhaust and hangars to the bar type as they are much stronger and dont let the exhaust bounce around. VR6Will 0 Posted April 28, 2007 that was who i got the exhaust rubbers with chains in from, C&R - highly recommend them over the powerflex ones!
