Sonicriot13 0 Posted June 11, 2007 Went to Alton Towers at the weekend (Oblivion is scary sh*t!) and on the way there and back from Ipswich I saw 8, and I kid you not 8, ferraris (most F430s of course), 4 Astons (3 vantages and a DB9), 2 Maseratis (they were black, that's all I know), G*d knows how many Porches of all ages and models, 1 Golf GTI Edition 30 (which looks a lot better in the flesh than in the pictures) and I think there must of been an American car show over the weekend as the entire British population of Mustangs, Capris, Cortinas, and Escorts were on the M1. And you've guessed it, I saw a grand total of no Corrados, not even mine because we took my girlfriend's Celica. :D
jonnyboyo 0 Posted June 11, 2007 I'd hate to drive a common car such as a Ferrari. The shame of it
jslootweg 0 Posted June 11, 2007 Well Silverstone had a Ferrari weekend this weekend. There was hundreds there. I went up and had a look at them all (one of the perks of working there part time). That could have explained part of your experience but not the other cars i'm afraid. I have some dry spells in seeing Corrados and then other weeks a seen loads, its rather weird. Kevin Bacon 5 Posted June 13, 2007 There are Ferrari / Maser, Lambo and Porsche dealers in Colchester, so they might have been going there? I see the things every day bombing up and down the A12 and around Colchester.
Jim 2 Posted June 13, 2007 "Ferrari's - Pah! For those people who can't afford Lamborghini's!!!" And what exactly do they say about the Enzo or the FXX then? ;)
mattnorgrove 0 Posted June 13, 2007 Was thinking the same thing on Sunday at Cosford Air Show, there must have been 10,000 cars there, and didn't see a C all day. (may have been due to the fact that I was looking at the sky all day, but you get my drift) Did however see SO many campers (splits, bays and even a 21 window)

How much would I love to spend but five minutes at the wheel of one of them.... I've never actually driven a car that has more than four cylinders. How sad is that? jonnyboyo 0 Posted June 13, 2007 Aye, me neither. I'd love a quick blat in a Vr to see what they feel like.
Jim 2 Posted June 13, 2007 VR's are different compared to the 4 cylinders in many ways. For me its just the guttsy, deep V6 note.. it just feels ready to rumble even when you just lightly bury the throttle. I'm used to throttle being a droning noise on the 4 pots.. it is quite quite different on the 6 cylinder :) Driven a few supercharged VR's now and they don't feel much different until the revs start to climb.. then its genuinely scary! Sonicriot13 0 Posted June 13, 2007 If I ever get a VR I probably will end up supercharging it. I've fallen in love with superchargers since having the G60. I miss the whining noise when it's not there and I keep expecting to hear it when I drive other cars.
