Andy665 0 Posted October 24, 2007 Oh dear, Porsche can do sports cars like no one else but they can't stop producing ugly cars in other market sectors. Apparently not official images but images created from insider knowledge - actually looks better than I thought going by the prototypes that have been spotted but still far from pretty. Jim 2 Posted October 24, 2007 Sigh. What an absolute abomination to the badge.

yorkshireone 0 Posted October 25, 2007 I'll save my judgement until after I see the official images. here you go.... (to be honest I quite like it :) ) climatronic wiring-Golf from May 01.pdfPorschePanamera.jpg[/attachment:e6298] 2.8l 24v Climatronic system.pdfautobild_panamera2.jpg[/attachment:e6298] 0505_porsche_panamera_1.jpg[/attachment:e6298]
dukest 0 Posted October 25, 2007 those are a bit better, but are they official either? seems like a lot of carrera GT in them vs an extension of the 911 which might be more expected and is reflected more in the first pics?
Critical_Mass 10 Posted October 25, 2007 The rear looks better in the later pics. Still dont really like it. Though would look better as a 3 door instead of a 5.
scarlet_vr6 0 Posted October 25, 2007 the rear door handles seem to shift about a bit on the silver one!
Supercharged 2 Posted October 25, 2007 Yep more AutoBild (Autoexpress) bollox - I don't believe any of there pics, just wait for the actual car to arrive!
Kevin Bacon 5 Posted October 25, 2007 Looks OK to me. If Porsche can afford to experiment, let them. The 911 no longer has the same appeal it did 10 years ago so they need to expand their product range.
vwdeviant 0 Posted October 25, 2007 I've just figured Porche's new design direction... Leak rumour of new car and basic specs onto internet... See what the Photo-chop warriors come out with, pick the best, produce it! At least that's what they seemed to have done with the Caymen...
Kevin Bacon 5 Posted October 25, 2007 Have you see the RUF Cayman in this month's Evo? I hated Caymans until I saw that!! I'm still struggling with Porsche using names for their cars now..... too used to 911, 924, 928, 944 etc etc... Boxes, Alligators and spicy Cayenne pepper just don't make sense to me as car names
Andy665 0 Posted October 25, 2007 Heres some pictures of the actual thing - not good :(
chimo 0 Posted October 25, 2007 nasty... not liking it. the prototype shots have a bit of dodgeness in the 1/4 panels. .. ick.
dinkus 10 Posted October 25, 2007 I think you'll find it's "dodginess"...
RS VR6 0 Posted October 25, 2007 Kinda looks like a smashed down Cayenne... :?
Kevin Bacon 5 Posted October 26, 2007 Just as the Cayenne was the rich man's Chelsea Tractor, the Panemera will be the rich man's city cruiser..... the looks are irrelevant, it's the badge and price tag that counts! It kind of reminds me of a modern Aston Martin Lagonda.....
yeti 0 Posted October 28, 2007 It kind of reminds me of a modern Aston Martin Lagonda..... exactly what i was thinking! looks a bit like a signum from the side too! :? i just doesnt work...
The_Dude 0 Posted October 28, 2007 Is it a saloon or hatchback? O rhave they done the trad Porsche thing and stuck the and stuck the enigne in the back? If so, is there luggage space for four under the bonnet? And what will it do to the handling?
