New bumper, bonnet, slam panel, radiator, grille, badge, headlights catch and spraying will come to 500-600 minimum I should think. What are you paying for the car? Is it worth the effort?

leave it mate. just save your money and get a reasonable one to start with. dont make the same mistake as me. (although mine wasnt thats bad) to get it p to a decent standard you will need to through more money at it than you think.

i was thinking of swapping it for a mk1 gti that i paid £150 for. would it really need a respray if i could get the parts off a car the same colour?

i'm really not looking for a minter, just a cheap run around now my mk2 golf has just packed up again.

well no it wouldn't, but unless you've got parts lined up as well you may struggle to find any, also a 16v corrado could hardly be called a 'cheap' run around

If your getting it cheap, then it's best to break it and sell whats good on it. Learn about what to look for as you strip it. It looks to have had a hard life, will need money pouring at it and when it's all done it still won't be as good as one you can buy now that will have history and been well cared for.

Don't go down that road.

and on closer inspection, there aint many panels on it (if any) that are good, front is wrecked, and the rear dont look too tasty either. doubt its even worth breaking.
