Traverse 0 Posted March 17, 2008 We had an incredibly foggy night out here last Friday. I took these shots in the parking lot as I was on my way out of work at about 2:00 am. And just to show the intensity:

Walesy 0 Posted March 17, 2008 Dude, If you think that's increadibly foggy you should try driving across Bodmin moor when there's a sea mist in the air! :) Nice pics though!
craigowl 0 Posted March 17, 2008 Yes, our fog is really good. Not as peasoup as it was prior to the clean air act of 1956, though, thousands of people died in London in 1952 iirc due to smog. We still get good water fogs, and as Walesy says, those coastal fogs on the moors - talk about spooky, listen out for werewolves, but do not rush into the nearest pub - you will cause a stony silence to descend on the place as the locals sus you out for robbing/bugger!ing, etc. Pic is on M9 Edinburgh to Stirling motorway in December a couple of years ago. Traverse 0 Posted March 17, 2008 ^that's how the majority of the drive home was. This parking lot is kind of on the top of a valley, and the drive home went down into said valley.
craigowl 0 Posted March 17, 2008 That's more like it, Traverse! We limeys know your weather phenomena are much more dramatic than ours. We get 20-minute news coverage of weather when it is nasty enough to cause the street lamps to shake and flood a trailer park.
