The state-of-the-art facilities in Winchester

Recommended Posts

Saturday morning Dinkus and I went down to Toad's place in Winchester to help with getting a motor ready for re-instalation(we really didn't do much however). He's got quite a nice setup on his parent's farm. Thought you all might like to see some pics of the place.

Had a blast and was well entertained by his family as well, truely fantastic people. As mentioned above didn't really do much when I was there, but well worth the drive to support other Corrado owners.

ROFL...

Nice crack eh???

Cheers for yours, Dinkus', and Tekara's help on Saturday. The car was out and running around 9pm and seems quite happy now.

Ready to start the next clutch and chain job now then....

Where did you get the Haystack docking station?

Well, I am actually a UK importer for these items. delivery can be a bit steep though.

I've 80x70x250cm units in stock...

Yeah I was, but it's easier to get at the timing marks etc with the engine out. It's only a couple more bolts etc, easier to fit the gearbox, and made it easier to do engine/gearbox mounts.

Plus I don't really fit in the engine bay very easily :(

I turned up wearing white trainers after it had been raining, not a good move! The 'garage' is a brilliant place for doing work.

Tom, your farm seems to have become the unofficial home for rados needing work!

Nice facility lads! Think you might have the likes of Stealth and G-Werks worried. Not so sure about the cheap help, looks more like a leisure centre :)

I think we've had a few rados there now, probably at least 7 or 8 at once including my 4. Must have gotten to work on a good portion of forum cars now too.

I'll have to sort a bbq out in the summer for a few people to come along to. Try to smash the rado record...

ROFL at "leisure centre"....

Cool, can we put a cow on a massive spit?!?

Went to a party at my friends 8 bed 15th century house (he was looking after it for the NT) and he had a whole lamb roasting over a fire in one of the fireplaces with a custom welded spit, rotated by a Vitara wiper motor with bike cogs to step it down. Quality.

I was gonna say can we spit roast a cow, but knowing you dirty perverts......

Will have to come and visit these state of the art facilities some time!

You'd want a lamb or maybe piglet rather than a cow really - otherwise that's a lot of meat to get through!

As Toady's sister specialises in lamb and beef, I'm sure if we all chipped in sufficient fundage that we could organise something suitably tasty...

I'd only go there with company. For some reason I just can't help but think it'd be like a scene from Deliverence if I went there by myself.

You have to drive pretty much right past my front door to get to Chez. Toady from your place, Jim so I can tag along as backup :)
