where does g60 get its VDO tach signal from ?

yeah,i've read that in a couple of places but all my install has is a green ignition wire and the black 12 volt wire.

Dunno if any other g60 owners can confirm?!??

If it helps mate, i know that the rev counter feed enters the fuse box on the top via a black spade connector.

 

There are 2 or 3 next to each other on the top right of the fuse box, and its the one to the left of the 2/3.

well it pulls it from coil -. you could always just add a wire to coil -

thats what i thought but the original cooil wire is connected to the egative terminal but still no rpm.

In the bentley it just shows the green wire from the neg going to the ecu.

I always thought it was from the ecu although a lot of older cars do take it from the coil.
