boost monkey 0 Posted May 30, 2008 That looks like fun! Do those carbs have the slide venturis? Also, what is bottom end torque like, that manifold looks pretty short!
Blaklabel313 0 Posted May 30, 2008 no worse feel-wise than it was with the injection to be honest but the mid range...3k plus is realy beefy it feels like theres more grip anyway.....(i just love the noise and constant popping from the exhaust on throttle release)
junkie 0 Posted May 30, 2008 Quality stuff me like :notworthy:
boost monkey 0 Posted May 30, 2008 What size are the plates in them?
Blaklabel313 0 Posted May 30, 2008 i cant remember all the techy bits to be honest....the outlet end was 38mm on each but i cant remember what the venturi gaps were.. :cuckoo: it worked out to allow enough air when i had the original calculations done and the jets are correctly sized so it all seems ok...!(touch wood)
Philuk 0 Posted May 31, 2008 sweet, gotta love the sound of bike carbs :D did you do the conversion yourself or get someone else to do it for you? - what engine is it you have you car is looking well also 8)
Blaklabel313 0 Posted May 31, 2008 had the manifold made and the jetting done by boggs but all the mechanics etc i did myself. The engine is a 2.0l 16v 9a lump. the original lump was the same but went bang so i put another one in and thats when i decided to convert it, ive still got the original which will be refurbed and modified and put back in at a later date (with carbs of course)

n3p 3 Posted June 4, 2008 Whats the bonnet clearance like? You reckon it would all fit under an early one? (-18mm IIRC)
boost monkey 0 Posted June 4, 2008 Sounds good matey! Do like the induction noise :salute:
Blaklabel313 0 Posted June 4, 2008 Whats the bonnet clearance like? You reckon it would all fit under an early one? (-18mm IIRC) depends on what bike carbs you use...and how long your intake manifold is made.
Blaklabel313 0 Posted August 16, 2008 little bit of custom work completed on the bike carb conversion. A polished wiring box cover and a cover/scoop for the carbs to hide the rubber trumpets. What you think then peeps??
