Riley 0 Posted July 18, 2008 Meguairs heavy cut cleaner, its from the bodyshop range... :) Found a small dent below the door handle hole, so i skimmed the lot again...Forgot a pic of it flatted off with 400/600 grit paper...I know the filler looks a mess, but i had enough over the dipped area's. Primed again, i removed the window trim and flatted most of the masked area this time. The masking tape isn't masking where im painting, its just so i didn't flat off too much. Ill remove it when i blow the door over with the tornado red. Its pretty much perfect now dent wise but tbh im losing interest at the minute.
Riley 0 Posted July 19, 2008 Flatted off with 600/800 grit. Painted, still wet in the pics and some feckin dust had landed on it. Could have been a better job tbh...Ive definately done better in the past. And i dunno why my camera keeps putting weird lines in my pics...
BiGMOTHER 0 Posted August 17, 2008 Looking good nice to see another 1 saved from being broken, might be able to explain some of the excessive corrosion as well from the Reg it come from Hadwins VW, Lindale-in-Furness, sea air plus they start salt gritting roads the end of Nov  First 1 I've seen with a local Reg bought my first Rado in Apr (Light front end T&T replaced bumper/lights £200 :D ) then been gettin it in the neck of the other half since :mad2: had to trim down my fleet to keep her (mkII Golf gti 3Dr, '68 Lambretta Gp150) But having fun trackin down parts & found a build sticker on inside of dash for 6th '89 so it looks early :) Keep up the good work
CazzaVR 0 Posted August 17, 2008  What an amazing transformation! Good work, Neil. How long do you reckon it'll take to totally finish? (I know Corrados are rarely 'totally finished', but you know what I mean ;) ).
Riley 0 Posted September 10, 2008 Well...Corrado is now full of crap and sanding dust, but i have no water at the unit yet. Anyway, its ready for the road... Finished off the door, refitted handle/door card/window strip (crap pic) Fitted the new door speaker covers, no broken tabs at all! And fitted the new pressed plates, ive gone with british font and no banding... And thats it, just need to swap insurance over from the G60 which im gonna park for a while... Neil. Jay2 0 Posted September 11, 2008 Having read the post from the start, Riley :salute: The problems on my G60 don't seem that bad after seeing the valver from the start. What cleaning product did you use on the actual front headlight lenses? They look cyrstal clear.
Riley 0 Posted September 17, 2008 Cheers guys :D Fine wire wool and then Autosmart glass polish on the lenses mate 8) Neil.
Riley 0 Posted September 30, 2008 The G60 is now off the road, joined by the valver which ive just driven home. Slight wobble on the steering at all speeds so need to look at that, but drove home fine.

Taffado 0 Posted October 19, 2008 Love the Yellow Headlights on the G60. They would look great on my purple valver - where can I find some?
Riley 0 Posted October 19, 2008 Lamin-X.co.uk 8) Im possibly going to do the headlights/fogs/indicators on the red valver today...They are all in really good condition so i want to keep them that way. Clear headlight protection, and GunSmoke fogs/indicators i think... Neil.
Taffado 0 Posted October 19, 2008 That sounds cool, you'll have to post some pics! 8) Does this Lamin-x stuff come with instructions and what size do you recommend ordering to do the headlights? :confused4:
Riley 0 Posted October 19, 2008 Instructions/applicator and a knife 8) A piece of 12"x16" cut in half will do the faces of both headlights... Decided to Lamin-X the headlights with Clear protection film. Note:This is some faulty gear that i just made use of. Removed headlights, the corrado lights have a nice little indent that you can run your knife along to trim the film for a perfect fit. Done. Then decided on the GunSmoke protection film for the fogs/indicators...Just to make it look a little different. And fitted, not bad for a rush job. Neil. Taffado 0 Posted October 20, 2008 Wow! Gunsmoke look is tres cool! I may have to follow suit. Would look great as I already have blacked tail lights and smoked side indicators. Thanks for the inspiration and the guidence. Rob.
Jim Bowen 1 Posted October 21, 2008 is there a lighter shade than that for foglights etc?
Taffado 0 Posted October 24, 2008 Just got my Lamin-x stuff. I'll try and post some photos when i'm done
Riley 0 Posted November 10, 2008 is there a lighter shade than that for foglights etc? Im looking at supplying a new protection film called 'SubtleTint' pretty soon :) The GunSmoke is quite hard to photograph, it always looks slightly darker in pics... Just got my Lamin-x stuff. I'll try and post some photos when i'm done Good stuff... I decided to GunSmoke the headlights in my dinner time today...Just can't help myself i suppose. With sidelights on... And low beam... Neil. mattnorgrove 0 Posted November 10, 2008 All smoked front looks good mate! Does the smoke effect on the headlights reduce the light output by much? (as if it isn't low enough already) Or have you got an uprated loom on it? Good work still, looks like a different car to the one you originally bought...
Riley 0 Posted November 10, 2008 Cheers mate... The light output difference is very minimal, With the corrado i can't tell any difference at all to be honest, but there will be a slightly smaller light output. No uprated loom on the valver, may put one together at some stage. I find the Yellow on the g60 is much better than standard visibility wise, i love the yellow light especially at night/when its foggy. 8) Neil.
Jay2 0 Posted November 11, 2008 The Gunsmoke looks really good, is it MOT legal or would I have to remove for it?
Riley 0 Posted December 24, 2008 Perfectly fine for mot mate :D Just given it a much needed wash...Haven't had the time or been in the mood lately. Gets full of crap going up to my unit...
