Car is 2.8 supercharged with a vortex charger, 6 speed quaife straight cut box and diff, organic clutch, just fitted some ap coilovers and a jetex system with cat by pass.

like it mate, thats the paint sceem i want on mine, now ive seen it i like it more and more!

i had a lot of debate over gloss or matt, and whither to do the rear pillars as well, but had seen some already done like that and was not that keen, I love it, it looks good with the spoiler up as well. Now just debating if any black goes on the bonnet!

But it think it may stay as is for the moment :)

its the VW tornado red - the early ones came in it and I had a Mk2 in it. It looked very bright in the pics sent over, I went down there last night and have taken a few more attached - cant wait to get it back! It has not been polished yet so should look even better.

Its done at Chertsey Coachworks - talk to Marcus 07810000800 - they are very reasonable, and have good ovens etc say you were recommended by Seb and VW Forum. They are good for full respray or minor bits/wheels etc

not at all mate,

the first job i had done was just the outside paint ie not the shuts etc and they did it for just under a grand, which was good value for the work, but it was a colour change from flash red to tornado with the black roof -. So this second job i am having done was initially just going to be the shuts etc for another 500 but i got a bit carried away and decided to have it all done again with all the windows out etc and the inside of the bonnet, so the second complete job is £1750 which is still great value as its a lot of work! They dont mind you coming down and 'having a look' and its all done in a good oven etc. i posted the number earlier in the thread if you want something doing speak to marcus the manager ( who used to run a vw approved body shop back in the 90's which makes him perfect for the rados! )

hope that helps

Seb
