Sonicriot13 0 Posted November 16, 2008 Nice G60 mate! :thumbleft: When was the charger last done?
twofourten 0 Posted November 18, 2008 Hello Sonicriot13 I have no idea when the charger was last looked at, I'll have to check the paperwork. I am considering taking her over to the UK to get this done sometime early next year, I have been examining the g werks site and am thinking that may be the way to go? The car is in the garage today having a few bits done, but it's not a specialist garage. Just a friend iof a friend who won't rip me off...

I'm taking mine down there for a rebuild in 2 weeks. The guys are very helpful and friendly. It's a three hour trip for me on a good day just to get there but it's worth it. It's definately a load off your mind to get it done and know the charger is in good nick. It can work out very expensive if it goes wrong. Mine was last done Jan 05. Mileage wise it's ok but it's almost four years ago so I just want it done so I don't have to worry about it.
twofourten 0 Posted November 18, 2008 Hi Lufbramatt, Someone on here PM'd a link to me, but I have deleted it? I'll try to find it and post it back up for you...

twofourten 0 Posted December 15, 2008 Saturday 13th December finally got and fitted the Lupo GTI wiper kit - HURRAY Also had to replace the 6 inch U bend fuel pipe as the old one was inferior & rotten - Now drives much better and I can see when it's raining, which is helpful May need to work on improving the night vision next by looking at those dodgy headlights... andyherd 0 Posted December 16, 2008 May need to work on improving the night vision next by looking at those dodgy headlights... i can highly recommend fitting some HID's if you can get them wired up correctly
twofourten 0 Posted December 16, 2008 hello andyherd, being a complete mechanical & electrical idiot i have no idea what HID means - can you explain in english? i have been looking at some of the threads about lights and reading about loom upgrades and so on, but have yet to get my head round what it all means my lights are not in great condition so i was contemplating replacing them, but have no idea if i should put in originals with new wiring and bulbs or go for 3rd party parts as a complete replacement i.e JOM??? Adz The Rat 0 Posted December 16, 2008 Car looks well clean!! Bet you love the Lupo wipers, I couldnt believe how much difference they made when I fitted mine
andyherd 0 Posted December 17, 2008 being a complete mechanical & electrical idiot i have no idea what HID means - can you explain in english? HID stand for high intensity discharge (I think!), its a special type of bulb that is usual found on newer cars. They shine really bright and come in a variety of shades. They need a ballast box to ensure the bulbs recieve the correct voltage and a relay to allow the high beams to operate as normal. I haven't got mine fully working yet but here's how they look, personally I will be getting a auto electrician to fit them so I know it's been do properly. twofourten 0 Posted December 17, 2008 Thanks Andy, That sounds kinda complex to me, i was really hoping the fix up my existing lights with new bulbs and call it quits - adding ballast box and new relays sounds like a lot of effort and/or cash to me? I am still trying to find a decent third party light fitting as a replacement option, but can only find stuff like Helix angel eyes - does anyone have a decent source of other 3rd party lights? twofourten 0 Posted December 31, 2008 Been looking on the terrible internet and created a wish list of sorts - feedback more than welcome... £71.34 Splitfire Twin Core Ignition Leads? or does this not make any difference? £994.00 KW Variant 3 Coilovers - just found that Carnoisseur have them at £939.18! £133.94 Sparco Strut Brace - again how much difference will it make? £323.63 H&R Anti Roll Bar Kit All Prices from http://www.europerformance.co.uk £409.00 OZ Racing Ultraleggera 15" in Matt Graphite - can't find the Chrono HT I like better £95.00 Powertec SL1 Induction Kit £220.00 Black Diamond Performance Clutch Kit - or should one use Sachs as they seem the popular choice? Neil VR6 0 Posted December 31, 2008 I'm not sure those wheels really suit the Corrado - have a look at some of the pics on the forum and see what you like the look of. Also the induction kit and uprated clutch are both unnecessary. I can recommend the KW coilovers though.
twofourten 0 Posted December 31, 2008 Hi Neil, Thanks for your feedback. I have had a look at lots of the pics of alloys on the site, but seem to like the opposite to most people - I want the alloys to be slim-line and lightweight looking and show the disks and pads etc, I also like the idea of making the whole car black and grey like the interior - hence the black alloys. I am tempted to tint the lights too? I take it you have the KW v3 on your ride, do you have pics up so I can check them out?
twofourten 0 Posted January 4, 2009 A friend who build his own rally car is looking at ordering a whole load of alloys from Dare, so I might consider these babies (Dare Spider with stainless rim)- what do you think? I have been told that they can do 16inch, 4 stud and am just waiting for confirmation of the price...
twofourten 0 Posted January 9, 2009 Now booked in to JKM for Feb, having a service + g-lader & charger checked + koni coilovers fitted - had to pull away from the KW v3 cos I can't afford the extra cash. The koni are supposed to be good too though and the colour goes much better with my car... :cuckoo:
