from the beging i have had three MK1 golf, jags and loads of bikes when i was living in Cape Town.

Over here ive had lots, including bikes,,,lots of bikes! cant find pics of my othere three roccos.

also had many run about cars...lots and lots.

So here i go.

My first rocco....lasted a year.

My GSXR 88 modle, fitted lots of later parts,1100 motor, fireblade brakes, later three spokes etc.

hhh2.jpg

Then mooved to Leeds for a year and had a Reno 5 Turbo, painted, modded and one hell of a quick car!!

ModifiedfrontGTT.jpg

Second Raddo, stripped this to shell and rebuilt and painted...loved this car.

RIGHTSIDE.jpg

After selling rocco it made way for my first raddo VR6...with n.o.s hence my user name!

CASTLE3.jpg

Had a stupid moment and swaped it for a scoobie..... :ignore:

FRONTOFFSIDE.jpg

Sold that and bought my firts MK2 golf which i fitted an full ABF motor into that...great car!

abflump.jpg

Also had my Fireblade at the time.

Dscf0001.jpg

Sold the golf as i got another raddo VR for dirt cheap and could not refuse.

Supercharged this then delved into my firts turbo conversion....never looked back!

DSCF0042.jpg

Had to sell the raddo for house deposit...stupid mistake,so i had to get back into a seat if a raddo and bought a current red VR.

And Turbod that to  and love it !

CorradoVR6-n.o.s I wish my red paint was as red as yours! :D

Haven't got pictures of all my cars but here are some in chronological order:

Mk2, bought off a hospital notice board for 50 quid. Fixed it enough to get an MOT on it then flogged it at 250% profit.

nmdow9.jpg

Mk3 valver. Loved it. Sold that for more than I bought it for too.

2087mvs.jpg

Sold the valver to buy this, my first Rado!

5c0gtv.jpg

At the same time I got this back on the road:

vya2ae.jpg

Then during the dark winter of 2007 I was broke and had to sell all my cars. But May this year I acquired this:

And I will be half way through my last tin of beans before I even contemplate selling it.

i'm afraid i've only got a pic of my car prior to the rado; but i'll tell you about my others anyway -

i had a saxo vtr for my first car at 18 which i decided to park upside down after about 6 months of ownership!

next was an ax gt which was fettled a little when i bought it

ran this around for ages but it went rusty and a friend of mine randomly had another ax gt shell which he was doing nothing with.

i reshelled the car and rebuilt the engine at the same time. it was running approx 110-120 bhp and went like poo off a stick for a little car.

sold that and bought a 205 gti - massive massive advocate of these cars - absolutely love 'em and i swear i will have another one for the weekends some day.

sold that and bought a 306 s16 (basically like a 306 gti6 but with 5 gears) which i will strongly advocate as well - a bit like a grown up version of the 205 - big fan of this car.

after that i got the car i was after since even before i could drive - saved up for ages and got a loan off the old man for the rest. i bought a 2004 impreza wrx sti wr1

Impreza_WR1_2004_1.jpg[/attachment:2ijt5rt6]

(will edit the post with a pic of the actual car later as i haven't got one to hand - but here's one exactly the same)

left it standard and eventually had to sell it due to running costs and the fact that the costs made it totally impractical as a daily - would rape you on fuel etc even when being driven sensibly.

then i finally began my rado ownership after the impreza and haven't looked back since :)

see my build thread for pics of the rado - i'm ashamed to say that since i've owned it, i've never had the chance to take a decent picture of it all polished up and looking nice as i've always been doing stuff to it or never had the chance for whatever reason when it has been clean and working.

edit - have always contemplated a motorbike for the faster, quicker, better approach; but i've also contemplated horrific death due to speed addiction too, which has stopped me to this day...

i may well end up getting one someday - maybe after another 6 month trip in hotter climes...

Haven't got pics of em al my cars but have a had a few, 1st car 1.4 escort followed by 1.4 205, then came my 1st golf, a grey mk2 1.8gl 5 door. Next was my 1st gti, a Black Mk1 gti, loved this car until i had a new engine fitted by some cowboy vw 'specialist', it was back n forth to them so much got so fecked off with them went out and brought this :

Corrado92.pdfenginebay.jpg[/attachment:w23evpfo]

passat climatronic wiring diags.pdf306 S16 Rolling shell 001.jpg[/attachment:w23evpfo]

Loved that car just never had the money to fix it once i broke it, still have most of it in bits at a mates house, Was one of the best handling fwd cars i've driven.

After that had a couple of mk2golfs, 2 1.6's and a gti thought 2 of them were brought cheap fixed up and sold, then i was skint and brought a few £200 run arounds incl nissan primera 2L 16v, a 1.1 polo and a 309 diesel, but last year got another VW :

climatronic wiring-Golf from May 01.pdfFront_vr6_.jpg[/attachment:w23evpfo]

Brought it for £400 and ran it for 6 months until i moved out to germany 18 months ago, wasn't a minty by far but provided me with many smiles, especially that engine note, loved it, which is why when i get back from germay in april i'm after another vr6 but this time a rado as i've always loved em

I've also got this :

2.8l 24v Climatronic system.pdfDSC08794.JPG[/attachment:w23evpfo]

pembreybay5.jpg[/attachment:w23evpfo]

It's me and my old man's, he drives i passenger, although i'm gonna start driving it next year which i can't wait for. It's a formula 1 sidecar running a yamaha R1 on flat slides, its a feckin rocket ship gives me such a buzz racing it and has kept me sane while i haven't had a car for the last 18months, although only being able to fly home once a month to race sucks but ya can't have everything i spose

Mart :D

flusted was clearly misled in his youth!

sorry buddy - there are some nice cars there - just taste leaves a little to be desired!

Pete - that's an awesome list of previous cars there matey - definitely one to be envious of! great to see you are coming back to corrado ownership after owning cars of that calibre!

i prefer the corrado to my impreza wr1 any day - will be nearly as fast soon too hopefully :D

Know what you mean, early 2.5 cars are under 8k. Never driven a 2.5 or 2.7 car though so don't know what they are like. Mine were both 3.2S cars with the 6 speed box and 996 brakes etc.

The 1st, the green one, was superb. It wasn't the fastest car and after the M3 evo it was a fair bit slower, but the handling and feel is simply amazing.

The 2nd one had a 5k engine conversion and it was much more serious. It had well over 300bhp and seriously went like stink, but it had several niggly issues which Porsche could never really sort out properly for me.

To be honest after the 1st S I said I wanted a 911, but after the 2nd I'm less bothered. The Boxster is definitely the more agile car and the 911 cabrio just looks wrong to me.

I'd buy another one, but not one which has been modded, and I'd buy a cheap one too because the rate that they lose money is frightening...

Thanks!!! 8)

Of all the cars I've had none has put a smile on my face like my old VR6 did, it was that feeling of "cheap speed" and value, not to mention that its drives superbly and its timelessly pretty.

Happy to keep my Jag for the daily drive and get a VR for weekends and shows etc... :D

I've only owned 3 cars before the Corrado. The first Golf I nearly killed myself in and the other two were successfully sold on :)

My mate just picked up decent a 3.2S for less thas 8k. Only thing that put me off is the soft top. Never been a soft top fan.

Thats not much of a problem with the S, its got a triple skin roof. Double skin on the others.

Both cars were snug and quiet on the motorway and never leaked.

Had a hardtop on the blacdk one but rarely used it to be honest.
