the delta force 0 Posted January 12, 2009 I having some work done to the car which will involve removing the headlining so I thought I may as well replace the entire ariel as the reception is poor. I know I can buy the unit from VW but I have been told the connectors will be different to the cable in my valver. Can anyone confirm? Thanks Stefan

shawshankkid 1 Posted January 13, 2009 The connector should be the same fit for sure and you don't need to remove the headlining, just take the back roof trim off (nearest the boot) and you can work on it just fine from there....replaced all my ariel a couple of years ago in about 20 mins. The_Dude 0 Posted January 13, 2009 Can you not buy adaptors at Halfrauds, if you mean the one at the back of the stereo?
the delta force 0 Posted January 13, 2009 Thanks, I wasn't sure. It's coming out anyway so I'll fit it then. :) The connector should be the same fit for sure and you don't need to remove the headlining, just take the back roof trim off (nearest the boot) and you can work on it just fine from there....replaced all my ariel a couple of years ago in about 20 mins. lilfuzzer 1 Posted January 13, 2009 Hey buddy pretty confident they only difference in connectors will be at the headunit itself so you should be fine
