dazzyvr6 0 Posted December 23, 2003 you can get some bits off ebay, but that metal strip above the bumper is part of the front panel which costs mega bucks someone on here had to get one and it cost something like £700
Ka` 0 Posted December 23, 2003 dsdev, I agree with dazzyvr6. My bar was bludgeoned when I bought the C. I was foolish enough to think it is merely a trim that goes below the lights. I managed to get mine sorted by a good bodyshop, but it still cost me £150. Rest of it shouldn't be that painful, I hope. Naturally, I think that the Corrado looks gorgeous as it is so I would try to return it to the same state before your accident, although, I am becoming more and more tempted by a Rieger grill 8) Not helping you much by saying it is up to you really  You're the one driving it, no one else Have fun though! dsdev 0 Posted December 23, 2003 thanks for the replies. unfortunately the damage on mine seems much worse than yours, and the metal strip is already bent in half and kind of folded. im getting the feeling im gonna get really screwed for a lot of money.... im going to get another standard bumper.. i dont want to ruin the standard look, it's not worth it.. i think they are very elegant cars in standard form... and im not a boy racer anymore :) thx dave
joebrent 0 Posted December 23, 2003 check out http://www.venommotorsport.com, they have a lot of nice front bumpers, there not too max power but make the corrado subtly different!
Bally 0 Posted December 23, 2003 Sorry to hear your bad luck, I'd stick with the OE stuff, as Daz said keep an eye out on Ebay, http://www.performancevwmag.com is good for spares too.. Goodluck.. :D

Majik 0 Posted December 23, 2003 What colour is the car mate and where in the country are you?
Banana Man 0 Posted December 23, 2003 A good bodyshop will be able to replace that strip for you depending how far in the damage is. If you need a bumper I have one that I was going to put up for sale it's an early one though so it has the recessed fogs and indicators dont know weather yours is early or late style give me a shout if your interested! SherryP 0 Posted February 26, 2004 I have a slam panel for sale. Its currently on my 95 VR6, but apparently it is actually a G60 one. I't fits well, I didnt know for 2 yrs! but when I found out it had to be swapped for a proper one! Richard
bcstudent 0 Posted February 27, 2004 Following an 'incident' last night I too now have some interesting curves at the front end. I can probably kick the slam panel straight-ish for now, but would be interested in buying a good 'un for the right price. Should think myself lucky that I got away without a scratch on the bonnet or wings I guess!
