Swompy's Ice grey violet. Now gone to a new home

Got the suspension on yesterday took me and my mate 10 hours to do :cuckoo: :shock: got there in the end tho :D

 

Just need to let it settle than maybe lower the rear a bit more

obviously not as comfy as standard. Its a little hard going but I've got no complaints, feels really nice in the corner tho with no body roll :D

I'm with Vaughan I think there Jake.. it's your car of course but I wouldn't want to be going much lower, at least not on Estorils. The car just looks like it's had a suspension collapse if it's slammed to the deck on Estorils IMHO!

ooooh looks lovely mate,

wondering whether to do the same and get some cheepy coilovers off ebay, its between those ones or the jom's but apparently there the same, just in blue.

 

whats the ride like? as long as its not hideously bouncy/bumpy il go for it :D

The ride isnt too bad it is alot firmer than standard and you can feel the bumps a bit more but its not unbearable.

 

AS Graham from DG Autoteck as he had a little spin in it earlyertoday so he can tell you how it compaires to other coilovers.

 

I wouldnt want to keep these for the long run but will do untill I get something better.

 

I got these off pistonheads so cant comment on the ebay ones.

Well she passed her MOT with no advisorys at all.

 

Well apart from one virbal one about the handbrake mechanism being dodgy. Strange tho as they are preaty new :scratch:

 

O well all thos shiney things have payed off 8)

Its the bit the conects to the caliper but not shore if its that that is shagged or the caliper itself

Liking the ride and looking good, how are you finding the coilovers for ride quality & do yours have adjustable dampening?

 

I went with Koni coilovers and love the handling, although I still think about installing an air ride just so you can go from low as F$%* to a height that can cope with urban horrors like speed bumps and pot holes etc...

Thanks, the coilovers arnt bad for what I payed for but will hopfully last long enough for me to save for somthing better.
