VR6 0 Posted June 5, 2009 Never tried it personally but people do recommend it - I imagine the oils in the peanut butter soak into the trim.

bruny 0 Posted June 5, 2009 Thats a bugger, I'm allergic to peanuts :gag: Will have to stick to the Carplan black wax, works pretty well, apply on a warm day and leave it on,improves with regular use :)

kee 0 Posted June 5, 2009 carefull use of a hot air gun, heating the trim up makes it black  and then apply product to keep it up. Or so i have been told before lol
colinstubbs 0 Posted June 5, 2009 Trouble with heating the trim up is it draws more of the oils out of the trim gradually compounding the problem over time. Linseed oil should work - can't do any harm to try  8) post if it worksm - might do this myself sometime.
RDH 0 Posted June 5, 2009 Autoglym do a black dye, comes in a spray can and gives a really good finish (especially on textured plastic), never seen it in shops but you can get it online. Rich
