Kempy 0 Posted June 11, 2009 Hello again I'm looking for pump for my valver. I've looked at swaping from my other valver which has a early interior/late body. But the connections on the pumps are different :censored: why!!?? Anyway Can I only look for pumps from a late rado? or are there any other vags like passats that might be suitable cheers again Ryan
dragon green 5 Posted June 12, 2009 pumps still available from the stealers-£250 !!! there seems to be three part numbers for the pumps-10 & 11 pin plugs chances are they are used on other models, but without wandering around the breakers, or a friendly parts guy we are going to have to wait for someone with superior knowledge to tell us
Henny 0 Posted June 12, 2009 my bet is that it's something to do with the deadlocking function that was on the later cars (but not the very early valvers IIRC...)
Riley 0 Posted June 12, 2009 Is it just the plastic around where the connector pushes in thats diffarent mate? You can actually swap the internals from one casing to the other, ive just done this myself. Its pretty self explanatory if you pop the cover off. Thats what id do...or you could do a 'jim'll fix it' by chopping the plastic away and tie wrapping the connector on. In fact it looks like you could just file a slot in the plastic on the pump on the right, to match the one on the left? Neil.
leon263 0 Posted June 14, 2009 Do a search on E-Bay for Corrado central locking pumps. There is usually a good selection available with the different number of pins from various breakers.
