Easiest way to remove the rear seats?

Recommended Posts

Don't they just pull up? There are no screws or anything, you just have to pull the base/bum bit up quite hard, especially on the side closest the footwell.

Push the seat base back a bit and then pull it up towards you. The hook bit is in the middle of the seat base at the front of it.

And do you mean push back the seat and then pull it up from behind?

I don't have a pic of the mech itself but it is just a slightly hooked bit of metal on the underside of the middle front of the seat base. At the bottom of this pic, you can see the hole which the hook sits in. Just push the seat base laterally towards the boot and then lift it from the front in one smooth movement. Once the front is free, pull the base towards the front of the car, as there is a small metal tab which slides into the back of the seat (you can see this at the top of the pic). Hope this helps :)

just hit the middle of the front of the seats hard and they'll pop up. You can then pull them out
