Why do so many Corrados seem to have ONH as the letters???

 

Also, how many actually do have ONH? Is it simply me seeing it everywhere as I have ONH or is it genuinely common?

Think its got something to do with VW fleet or press cars.

Its wierd isnt it, I always thought the same thing about black cabs in london, there seems to be soo many with ORK at the end of the plates.......

 

I always remember it because it can make so many words with the first letter of the plate, my mates dad's cab was 'PORK' !!

But you're right, do see a lot with very similar reg numbers. Guess it is because they were sold in such small numbers, and many pre-registered with a dealer, that the numbers ended up being fairly close together?

Mmm, maybe related to year as well then as all the ONH ones I see tend to be 95 N's

Its the local reg for Northampton,VW HQ is Milton Keynes and the closest local office to register vehicles is Northampton.

I still think its to do with VW registering the vehicles as either fleet or management cars :)

spot on, my old boy is a lorry driver and can tell where a car is from by the plates.
