Will borbet T work on Corrado?

Recommended Posts

Anyone know if the following Borbet T will fit fine on a corrado - no rubbing etc....

7,5x16 et35 + 9x16 et 30

(and will it fit over the VR6 brakes)?.

Anyone got a pic of them fitted on the corrado would also be nice :)

Sorry to hijack slightly, are these with standard arches? Sorry im just trying to work out my spacing, if you've got 9in ET15 the rear what would that equate to with 7in wheels to get the same stance? ET10?

Happen to know what size tires where on this ?.

I'm thinking of 225 on the 9" in the rear - but unsure if it will work.......:(

Ok I'm not defo on this but I reckon the et30 will hit your stuts and the widest tyre u can really run is

a 215/35 and even then it'll probably scrub. U need to roll the rears tbh.

ended up going with 215/40/16 michelin all around - was advised someone else had the exact same rims without any trouble - might have to do some spacing though....

I guess time will tell - if not I slam em on my Passat....:)

I've resurrected this thread as i'm looking at some borbet t's atm.

They are 16x7.5, 4x100 and the offset is et20. The tyres are 205/45/16. I know the stud pattern is correct but will they fit my valver with no spacers or rubbing on lock etc. My car is lowered 40mm.

Thanks guys.

Got some tires fitted to the rims - one shop had to give up on getting air in the 215's on the 9" - but luckily someone only dealing with tires where able to help me out, so hopefully get to test fit them during the coming week :)

Must say I like the look of the 215's on the 9" :)

Iv got some Borbet T's on mine at the mo. The fronts are 7.5x16 and obviously have no rubbing issues. I did have some 9x16 et 30 with 215/40 on the rear which needed 20mm spacers as they rubbed on the inside of the rim. I removed them tho cause it's dropped 40mm with no arch work done so they shredded the tyres on the archs every bump i went over.

Im now running 7.5 on the rear aswell but with spacers to fill the archs a little.

Fancy a change tho so may put all 6 wheels up for sale soon

ok, but do you reckon it will work with 20mm spacers - if I'm not dropping that much ?

Or will it be trouble getting it to clear anyway?.

Btw noticed yours is a 4 stud - AFAIK there is difference between the G60's and the VR6's in clearance.....

Yes they will fit but you may still get some scrubbing if cornering hard or when going over bumps in the road. Unfortunatly like me, i think you will find you have to get your archs rolled. I know there is a slight difference between VR6's and G60/Valvers in regards to clearence but someone else will have to help you out there!

I'v now fitted them on my C.

No trouble with them - my C sits on KW V1 which is quite "slim" so that might be the reason why it's working alright.

Also haven't done all the height adjustments at the moment, so it sits a bit to high - but doesn't look like I will have any trouble with it as long as I'm not lowering it to much.......
