jma 0 Posted June 9, 2010 Hi My friend has brought a VR6 and I noticed that a couple of wires around the engine were not connected. Can anyone advice me what these are as it will need attention. Kevin Bacon 5 Posted June 9, 2010 The plug on the air intake / breather pipe is a dummy and not needed. Just tape the wires up somewhere out of the way. Looks like someone's had a good go on the MAF wiring loom! Have a look under the MAF (it's out of the shot) for a blue solenoid valve and make sure it's connected. If it's not connected, or missing completely, someone has done a Carbon can deletion job and it's probably what those spare wires on the turret were for.
