volksworld13 0 Posted October 11, 2017 It’s great the community is still strong, keeping the old corrado’s going!! It’s usually the lack of parts that kill off classics. On that note is there any hope of reproducing the outer weather seals for the corrado in particular the passenger side? Obsolete worldwide apparently. vw rule 19 Posted October 12, 2017 (edited) Part of my headlight wiring loom was burnt away/warn, partly caused by the original weak headlight switch, due to the poor inner contacts, & the bulb shining hot making parts of the inner plastic brittle as well. I bought this loom back in 2005 or early 2006 when it was still available from VW main dealer, for roughly £50.00 But it's been obsolete for awhile now, well I've just seen it's been reproduced by VW Classic Parts. Also remember to speak to VW Heritage as they might do you a deal on price ? VW Classic Parts. Headlight wiring loom OEM part number: 00-535971055 €78.96 = £70.41 All Corrados 1988 to 1995 *********** Or VW Heritage 535971055 £59.71 VW Classic Parts OEM part n.o 535971055B €129.00 = £114.80 All Corrados 1988 to 1995 ********* Or VW Heritage 535971055B £97.56 One of the above part numbers is RHD and one is for LHD possibly, but you'll have to speak to VW Heritage, as I'm not 100% sure. Also speak to 8vMatt here on this forum as he does a group buy for the uprated LED headlight switch. Link below. http://the-corrado.net/showthread.php?96213-2017-Headlight-Switch-group-buy-is-a-go!/page10 Hope this helps Si Edited October 13, 2017 by vw rule
vw rule 19 Posted October 15, 2017 (edited) Just found this on the VW Heritage site, not in the Corrado section but in the MK2 Golf section, it's the rear stub axle dirt / dust plate covers that slide over onto the inner end of the stub axle flange, they help to stop any dirt getting into the hub bearing or damaging the bearing seal. The part number is 191-501-639A and is under the MK2 Golf section but this item fits the Corrado as well. Cost of the above item is £7.10 per each. Don't forget to check the MK2 Golf section for Corrado parts as well, as some are listed there. Si OEM part n.o 191501639A Corrado 1992 to 1995 with ABS Drawing 5 position 18 ******************** OEM part n.o 191501639A MK2 Golf 1988 to 1992 Drawing 2 position 19 £4.50 from VW Heritage Tried up loading the second photo link, but at the moment the forum is being weird. You'll have to check with VW Heritage on stock of the first item for the Corrado i.e with ABS as back along they weren't in stock. They were only keeping this part for NONE ABS 1984 to 1988 to 1992 Hope this helps. Si Edited October 15, 2017 by vw rule
seanl82 23 Posted October 15, 2017 (edited) They're not the correct part for ABS fitted Corrado. The correct part is the same as the Passat, which is still available but under a different part number. If you do a search you should find the part number and price as I bought some about 6 months ago. Edit: Part number is V3A0 501 639 - £4.42 each. vw rule 19 Posted June 14, 2018 (edited) Also both the left and right plastic air guides, that help to ventilate the front brakes on the later Corrado's are available again through VW Heritage. The left side has been available for the last year or so, which is part number: 535805825D £54.95 from 1992 to 1995 The right side one is also available now, Heritage don't keep it but can order it from Classic Parts for you. Also possibly the early style air guides are available, speak to George as I spoke to him yesterday at VW Heritage he'll confirm if they are, regarding the early ones Si Edited June 14, 2018 by vw rule

Si its just a fact that the parts for these cars are drying up and parts are becoming more expensive as time passes. if I had the money in would be buying multiples of everything and in the future sell them for extorionate amounts of money and retire to the sun!!! vw rule 19 Posted August 15, 2018 The MK3 Golf fuel neck repair panel is being reproduced by VW Heritage, looks like 1000 are being made but are on back order for now until complete. No completion date has been given only that they are due in the next two to three months or so. Part number is: 191 803 483 Cost is £26.50 http://the-corrado.net/showthread.php?108232-Drivers-rear-inner-and-outer-wing We can possibly use this on our Corrado's if our old panels are rusted through, which seems to be a common area now on the Corrado. annavr6 10 Posted August 15, 2018 Hi, You are correct we are reproducing that part at the moment. Interested how you know how many we are making though :-) Price - that is not the price, its a new part for us that we have made. That price was the price from when we had genuine on stock. It will get a new price in accordance with the new cost and tooling costs which will also have to also be factored in. This would usually be done when we got the final invoice once the parts have shipped to us. Due date - unfortunately 2-3 months is not going to happen and unrealistic, we are still awaiting the first sample and unfortunately as much as this company make really nice quality products, they are not a fast company to deal with. If anyone wants any updates then feel free to drop me a pm later on and i will update on the parts progress.
