I'm 23 and bought my Storm in August 2002,what a machine!Just a shame that its not just that bit faster...thinking about investing in a M3 Evo.I run a Fiesta SI 1.6 and drive the two on a one on and one off basis!Probably going to keep the C and start the modding,FKs Turn 2 Kit etc..... the Fiesta was my first motor.Seems that I am in the majority for the age bracket, which surprises me when you look at the price of insuring these beautiful machines?!

Hi all,

I am 21 and I own a VR6, ever since I was young I just loved Corrados and used to point them out all the time.

My parents had a Jetta 1.8 Big Bumper model and they gave me that when I passed my driving test, then I bought a mint k plate G60 which I kept for a month and sold as insurance was rediculas and fuel cost etc so then I bought a MK2 Golf GTI 8 Valve and went to town on that, coil overs, 17's and mystic blue paint job, full leather and an engine re bore, lightened and balanced, and so on.........

I managed to sell that car in the end and bought myself the VR which I want to go to town on like my golf. I am 22 this December so I am looking out for grey hairs!!

I would love to fit a turbo in my vr, so dont know wheather or not to buy another small dream of mine an M3 EVO Cabriolet or go crazy with the VR? I know the bmer is common but still a very nice car!

if you've got the cash go for a supercharger kit on that VR, i'm sure you won't be disappointed. sure bimmer's are nice, and M3s are nicer and a bit rare.. but i see 50 bimmers a week.. ive only seen about 6 or 7 corrados in my area ever.

can't remember if i posted to this thread. i'll be 22 in september, bought my G60 for my 20th birthday. :)

Sometimes I get in my car and I think it just feels or great and it drives really nicely but as soon as I get a niggle I sometimes just think I could have a brand new car with free servicing etc. I wouldnt have to worry about it and jump in it and off I go.

I have seen some older Porsches that I have thought about, I suppose I would be branded Cheap mans Porsche but still classics around for 8 geees plus??

The C is the top of the top in the range so at least I have something that still is a great car. I suppose a lot of it boils down to the power, where we all love the c even if we are peed off with it it makes us love them more. When you get in a new sports car they all just feel like they handle so well and that they arte comfortable over bumps as well as being lowish and big wide thin tyres and that is the feel I love and its just not going to happen with any set of suspension you can buy t get that sort of ride comfort. Im just being fussy now. The supra 3 ltr twin Turbo is also making me think........ You have to watch blown away in Stolkhome, its an Escourt Cozzie V Supra and they have both had the best tunning and mods and both are running 450 BHP and the supra just leaves the cozzie for dust.

I'm 27 and have my vr for 2 years now.

At 20 I was driving a 2 year 205 1.9 GTI. Fast little fella. Although we did have a row with a motorway barrier. We lost!!! No surpise really. Just after I had my twin 12's istalled in the boot. Dented every single body panel. Walked away with a badly cut up arm.

Lucky me.

Ist car @ 17 was a Morris Marina 1.8 Coupe......remember the old green thing well....shame it was not the TC model....followed by countless Ford Cortina's.....one of them being a 1.6 auto ghia that made the Corrado look good on fuel!

Had as my own cars, bought by me with my own money;

C-reg 1.3 Polo GL - with parachute ready for deployment incase u had to stop

Ford Ka (new 1 years free insurance)

Renault Clio 1.2 16v (current shape and again 1 years free insurance)

My Corrado http://www.brando.barrysworld.net

(2l 16v, Oz polarises (not in pic, vibratechnics front engine mount and brake conversion soon hopefully)

Have driven 42 different cars (on the road) :), not bad for a 21 year old. Ranging from a tuned range rover to an brand new m3 (first person to drive it on a motorway: ironically the m3)!

Porsche boxter 2.7 was the best SO BALANCED!!!!!!!! Given myself to 27 to get a porsche/ferrari or aston and gonna give up after that :-) (prolly get a disel golf and mortgage)

I was 26 in October

oops, just read the other replies, drove a Metro when I was 20, a lowly student :D

stuck that through a roundabout on my way to football, wrote it off, waited 4 years, and bought a car with an engine almost 3 times as big, thought it was the reasonable thing to do?

I'm 22 at the moment

Nova sr - 18

1st RST - 19

2nd RST - 21

G60 - 22

Like the reliability of the G60. Has been the best behaved car of the lot so far. - and she's a pretty old thing.

It will seem like swearing on a VW Forum, but I really want another RST, I think they are really fun cars when they're not broken. But would only have one as 2nd car now. They aren't a reliable every day car - which the corrado is thank god!

22 had my 1800 16V corrado for 4 months now.

First car was a yellow 1100 Mk 1 Golf

At 18 then went onto a Mk1 Golf Driver, looked like a GTi but only a 1300 engine and then at 20 changed to a MK2 8v Golf Gti.

Wouldn't have anything but a VW

I'm 21, 22 end of March. My first car at 17 was a 72 GT beetle (Still lurking in the garage) then a MK3 Golf (no power steering and a terrible oil leak, smelt like smoky bacon crisps when the oil burnt off on the manifold) Then a 2001 Polo I loose track what MK they are think its a MK4, still have that as well. Bought my C just over 2 weeks ago and not got rid of the polo yet. I fear its going to be the end for my Bug as well, as with the C's almost junkie like addiction to petrol I’m never gonna save up to sort the beetle. So anyone want a 72 GT beetle in Red? Apparently less that 100 left!

I'm 23 at the end of the month

First car was an XR2 at 17 Insurance was £1500 TPFT I kept that for 6 months.

2nd was a Immaculate Lhasa Green Mk1 1.8L GTi I was only the 3rd owner, I must have put about £4k's worth of blood sweat and tears modding it. Got the whole engine balanced and re-built, and wish I still had it in a way but I sold it Jan 2001 for £2400

Then I got the 'Rado at 20 Yes the insurance was and still is well over a grand!! But that's what you get for having fast cars I suppose
