Ice White Socks 0 Posted February 21, 2004 Hello, Spent last weekend cleaning out the ISV and throttle body to clear a stalling problem. What I did notice was a broken valve that was on a pipe from the rocker cover going into the inlet elbow pipe- the pipe had sheared off where it entered the valve on the rocker side. It looks to my untrained eye like a one way rocker breather valve. I did a good job of bodging back up with cable ties and instant gasket. I phoned the stealer who couldn't tell me what it was or did ( ), but that it had to be bought with the complete elbow pipe assembly (£80 :( ) To be fair they didn't even sound to sure on that. Does any one know what it is, and if it can be bought separately. Thanks

Kevin Bacon 5 Posted February 21, 2004 Yeah that's a filter. Has a fine metal guaze in it to stop 'bits' getting into the throttle body. Mine sheared off at the main inlet hose....so had to buy the whole sodding thing! K
stormseeker 0 Posted February 22, 2004 I did a good job of bodging back up with cable ties and instant gasket. Noticed mine had gone too  when doing the water pump last week - I did good job of plastic/rubber welding it back together with an old soldering iron... will be off to the ford dealer tomorrow.... :-)

Kevin Bacon 5 Posted February 23, 2004 Cool...an elite crowd of Soldering iron plastic welders! I had to do some on Saturday to fix my number plate surround, which snapped and broke in a few places! Plastic welded it up, sprayed it Ice Grey and slapped it back on with loads of gunk.....you'd never know
