VR6 Gar

Howdy, Rado noob from Exeter.

Recommended Posts

Hello everyone. Picked up my first Corrado on Saturday, a pearl green Vr.

Here are some pics from the advert, not got my own yet

Maybe someone recognizes it, has a club sticker in the back window.

Only owned golfs for the past 10 years, 1 mk2 2.0 16v and 3 mk1's. The most recent car being a Lhasa green mk1 16v on bike carbs, track setup with coilovers, eibach arbs, widetrack etc,(soon to be sold) so will be asking lots of questions soon no doubt as i have no Rado or vr6 knowledge.

Decided I wanted something a bit more practical and road friendly, hence the Rado. Pretty amazed by just how well it handles, very neutral and grippy, even with a big vr up front. Needs some things sorting like sunroof, central locking and water temp gauge, common problems by the sound of things. Other than that a very tidy car that I am extremely pleased with.

Gareth.

Welcome mate, very friendly place here. Loads of really helpful people on here.

I'll keep an eye open for you, I'm working in Exeter at the moment.

Your car is looking good, best of luck with Corrado ownership.

Yeh, although I had to drive a 520 mile round trip for it. Well worth it though for the price. I really dont understand why the bottom has fallen out of the Corrado market so badly in the last few years, they are amazing cars. I got called a barsteward by a mate when I turned up in it as he has wanted a Vr Rado for years.

Just thought I would mention I am 'mk1 valver' on cgti and swdubs.

Looks tidy, is that a dizzy or coilpack VR (I am going to assume dizzy on a K plate)?

The rear light cluster could do with some adjustment, they are supposed to be in a straight line, fairly easy to do and would tidy the back end up no end.

Its a dizzy.

Only going to be a weekend car mainly as i have a work van.

Will be adjusting the rear lights in due course, got to sort a few other bits out first.

More of a lurker on swdubs, posting occasionally. My sig over there looks like this.
