R & S Engineering 10 Posted November 9, 2011 Hi all. Im currently building a Corrado track car and want to either weld up the sunroof or plate over it? Not really sure whats easiest option tbh. dragon green 4 Posted November 9, 2011 My mates done this to a customers Celica, he Tigged it in about 8 places and then used a filler rod on the rest of it ! lilfuzzer 1 Posted November 9, 2011 I have considered this and thought of getting a scrap roof and cutting a larger section than the current sun roof from the rear of the roof so there shouldnt be any distortion when welding. Indeed... if your fitting a full cage just remove the sunroof mech and fill the hole with polycarbonate... Unless you want it looking *MINT* in which case get a fibreglass or carbon fibre roof. R & S Engineering 10 Posted November 10, 2011 Yes the car has a full cage with overhead bar (cage came from a VW Cup car). So Polycarb option is a possibility. But it does look a bit messy.
