finally stopped my exhaust from knocking

Recommended Posts

My exhaust is rattling with engine revs at the moment, but that's probably cos I've knocked something loose. Sounds like it's coming from the back somwhere, but not really had a look.

Probably a bit of tree... ;) :p

(sorry, couldn't resist it... )

Reading through this thread it would seem to me that alot of you guys are having troubles with your exhaust systems. Clearly i have a full knowledge of Milltek product but have had plenty of exposure to other systems. I have seen most of the problems of which you complain, and i have often taken on works to rectify these problems regardless of the system manufacturer. The individual scenarios are numerous but often they are attributable to incorrect fitting of the system, worn or deffective hangers, non-replaced components deffective, or surrounding bodywork / trims causing interference. In any case i am happy to help with any difficulties you may have, if only to assist in narrowing down the possibilities. A problem shared and all that.

Yeah, my rear box OE rubber mounts normally lasted aboutfour months tops! Fitted a Powerflex mount instead and it's lasted 3 years now, very good, and no sign of it deteriorating at all. Only trouble is they come in an attractive yellow colour, but very good nonetheless. About a fiver each though, as I recall!
