joebloggsVR69 0 Posted March 22, 2012 Mike Brewer's put on a few kilos since then..
KIPVW 0 Posted March 22, 2012 He may not even know it was in the show if it was before he owned it. :/
ChrisL 18 Posted March 22, 2012 That Storm looks great when Mike is driving it about. Would probably have been interested in that one if I hadn't already bought mine. I think someone needs to tell Deals on Wheels to watch for ABS and Sunroof problems too.
Stonejag 10 Posted March 22, 2012 "Incredibly reliable"?! Is he talking about the same car?

4eyes2wheels 0 Posted March 23, 2012 Felt sorry for the bloke selling it "The RAC check showed it to be a year older and had done 15k more miles" :help:
VW_OwneR_85 2 Posted March 23, 2012 Felt sorry for the bloke selling it "The RAC check showed it to be a year older and had done 15k more miles" :help: yea same here, it looked in very good condition aswell, dont remember hearing that bit about being a year older, did remember them saying it had done more mileage then what the clocks were showing, how would they work that out? seanl82 23 Posted March 24, 2012 (edited) MOT history would show milage from previous. Can check it out online. http://www.google.co.uk/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=mot%20history%20check&source=web&cd=1&sqi=2&ved=0CDkQFjAA&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.direct.gov.uk%2Fen%2FMotoring%2FOwningAVehicle%2FMot%2FDG_10020539&ei=ETxuT_7qHcz58QOWy_2_DQ&usg=AFQjCNF56app2NDiRF-nS_ZgcQ5Z09_nBg shows the last 5 years or there abouts. No way of knowing just by checking though, unless its been stuck on their diagnostic and milage has been read that way. Never knew this could be done though tbh. ChrisL 18 Posted March 24, 2012 That Deals On Wheels was 12 years ago, MOT history checks are only since the new system was introduced around 2007 ish.
Stonejag 10 Posted March 25, 2012 I thought the diagnostic just shows what's currently on the clocks? Unless they noted excessive wear on something that didn't match up it sounds like bargaining tactics to me...
KIPVW 0 Posted March 25, 2012 I reckon it was due to mileage being logged on vw's system when it's been in for servicing etc and then had the clocks possibly changed for some with less mileage on, it wasn't uncommon for vw to change clock in earlier days, i know my 8v has had a clock change by vw in it's first 3 years due to a fault. So Written mileage on the mot certificates may not tally up with vw's computer data base :)
ChrisL 18 Posted March 25, 2012 Wonder if that Corrado is still about?
VWVW 1 Posted March 25, 2012 Iam sure in the vid the seller says he spent a further 700 pounds to please the buyer and he still turned it down.
MattPc 0 Posted March 25, 2012 Wonder if that Corrado is still about? this corrado is only down the road from me, and I have never seen it driving around, the guy selling looks like he is a dealer, so may not know much about the car.
