Chrysler Crossfire

I was behind a crossfire today on the M6 and got to view the active rear spoiler !!

I wounder were they got such a clever idea from ?? :roll: :D

My mates just bought an electric bin that opens when you get near it.......the door of the bin looks very similar to that nasty spolier on the back of the crossfire. what where they thinking of " Seamlessly integrated into the body" I dont think so!!!!!

Yuck. Looks a lot like the Nissan 350Z. Which stands for "ugly".

well, the new betles here in the US have a similar spoiler at the top of the rear window. it is much smaller, but it is the same idea with forming to the body.

Porsche 911s have active spoilers as well. The idea is older than the Corrado I'm sorry to say.

The spoiler on that chrysler thing looks like a flap on a plane. Totally poop - would be better if it was a solid unit

i was playing with my mates 911 rear spoiler the other day. the whole mechanism is alot more advanced that the corrados but im sure it all adds to the weight slung over the rear wheels...

...not forgeting that the Porker spoiler is designed to get more airflow into the engine to assist cooling, whereas ours is for reducing rear end lift...

 

...and the crossfire comes with a trouser press for the executive types... :lol:

I don't suppose anyone has picked up on the fact that the European versions of the Chrysler Crossfire are actually assembled by Karmann at Osnabruck - same as the Corrado.
