New Wheel Bolts??

Recommended Posts

Hi guys

I've just got myself some 17" BBS RX2's and I want new alloy bolts and locking bolts to go with them.

Im not really sure what to look for, so would love some help please?

I've got some 5mm spacers for the front to miss the Brembo's and might get some for the rear to fill them out aswell.

Hope someone and point me in the right direction??

Thanks Johnny.

I would speak to someone like Rimstyle .They will probably have what you need. I have RX2's with 5mm spacers also,so if you need i could measure them or post pics if that helps

That would be great thanks Harrier.

I'll give them a ring today to see what they say as well.

if you want spacers , then get hub centric spacers , as these also have a built in spigot to take the load , they also come supplied with either radius or tapper seat bolts , think the minimum thickness is 15mm though so best check with what you can take,

Thanks but I'm only looking to put 5mm spacers on.

Don't think the car will take spacers that big

I'll give RimStyle a ring In the morning but I don't think they sell bolts on there own.

Here is what i have Johnny, the threaded section is 30mm.These were supplied with the wheels & the spacers added more recently so you could go to 35mm. Daren

Thanks mate

Do you find the 30mm ok with the spacers then? It's just the next size up is 41mm, and I think that's too big for the abs rings.

Yes 41mm will be too long, stick with 30mm in that case, & then you can use them without the wheel spacers if you wish.

Does anyone know if the BBS wheels will need Radius or Tapered bolts???

And it's 35mm bolts I need cause just seen its 12mm spacers going on the front not 5mm  should check these things really :)

Thanks Johnny

To bump this thread, I'm after a full set of standard wheel bolts as my current rusty ones will stick out like a sore thumb with freshly refurb'd wheels and new centre caps. Vw and some of the alloy wheel specialists online want around £3.50 each! I'm loath to pay £70 for a set of bolts, so if anyone can suggest an alternative I'd be very grateful! Thanks all.

What wheels are they? If they're solitudes as per your picture, I run a set of the black plastic wheel nut covers which help cover up any rusty crummy wheel bolts :)

I got some off E Bay for less than £20.00 a set, will see later if I can find the Invoice.

It's the Rx228s Jim. Caps are a last resort, I think they'd be too obvious with the wheels, although I'd be happy to be proved wrong! Ian, thanks mate appreciate it! :thumbleft:
