Front bumper question

Hi guys

 

Just wondering if there is any difference between early and late front bumpers? I know the lights and splitter are different but is the shell the same?

No. The shell is slightly different too! :)

That's a shame, mine currently looks like this....

 

Do you know what is different about them? I need a new shell, lower grills and splitter and there's an early one on eBay complete.

I have a grey one, I presume its a late one as the car had late wings?

Yeah that's what I'm thinking. Where are you based? Is it complete or just the shell?

I believe there is a minor difference between early and late front bumpers. The groove on the side is very slightly different. I think it is only cosmetic though.

Thanks. I think I actually prefer how the early bumpers look (providing the sweep lines up with late arches) I guess I'd have to swap my rear bumper though too to have them matching.

I've got an early bumper on the rear of mine,I didn't know until it was shown to me by Kip at the AGM

Then it's a good day:cheers::thumbleft: I prefer the later style bumper/fogs/indicators meself but much prefer an early bonnet. Good to have the choice of max 'n' match I suppose lol.

I have a Early front bumper in Dragon Green without splitter though

I've managed to fix the bumper as it only had a couple of small cracks on the bottom edge and it sprung back into shape once I removed the bent metal work.

 

Dox is sorting me out with all the bumper bits so all I need now is a splitter although mine might reshape with some heat as it isn't split.
